Are you younger or older than you really look?

Post » Sun May 13, 2012 12:45 pm

I have had people be surprised at how old I am. I have gotten mistaken for being between 12-16 years old when actually I will be 20 next month.

Have people mistook you for being way younger or older than you look?

I normally suprise people who think I'm older than I am. Not by much but I think I can get away with looking 20+ when I'm only 19.

You most defiantly look younger, but I think it has something to do with being a Borg, just a hunch.

I'm 19 and I guess I look my age. Some people are surprised, but I think that's because I've fit quite a lot in to my 19 years, so I have a different perception of things to most 19 year olds, therefore I find I can't relate to a lot of people my age and thus making me seem older.

Younger I think. I get asked for ID a lot, like when I was buying a DVD that was 18+ and I'm 20 years old. I don't like the idea of people thinking I am 17 or under.

I can understand when people would think I am 17-18 but I have had people think I was literally 11-12 (when I was 18 then).

I'm older then what I look. Not many people look at me and see someone in the military since 08.

My main problem is being mistaken for the wrong gender. I have no idea why, I have short hair and I don't think I have an especially girly face. This is usually at work, by 5-year-olds, though.

I can still pay kids price when I take the bus, I've tried it several times. I'm short and when I shave I look fairly young.

I get quite a lot of people that think I'm gay. Not that I particularly care, but you really get some people that just don't believe me when I tell them I in fact like laydeez. I'm not even camp, I have short hair and fairly normal mannerisms. I guess it's my ostentatious dress sense.

Oh ya, I have had friends in the past that would get mistaken for being homosixual by other people.

Definitely older. People usually guess that I'm in my early to mid 20's when I'm actually-

Um, older than that. :ninja:

I'm just one of those people I guess. It becomes frustrating when someone will just go on and on and on.

Somewhat younger, but not by a huge amount. I think people still assume I'm thirty-something (I'm 43); I guess staying indoors all the time has some advantages such as not being frazzled by the sun! Shame I have the arteries of a 70-year-old, though...

When I was 25, I was described as looking five younger than I actually was. When I turned 27, that apparently went up to seven years. Guess it's just gonna' keep climbing, unless I start getting some more gray hairs. :P

I've always looked younger than I really am. A delivery man once asked me if I could ask my mom to come to the door to pay him. I was 25 and it was my own house.

I kind of have a baby face, so I grow a longish goatee/chin-thing and sideburns. Keeps me from looking like a dying cancer patient, pale as my skin is.

It has the desired effect. I was told yesterday that I looked like I was 30, when I'm actually 21.
