Bad News for XBox 360

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 12:20 am

Its not bad news for 360, you have installed when its confirmed in numerous threads here and in articles on the web, with or without the patch, installing phucks up the game... uninstall and try again, and stop making the game sound bad :brokencomputer:
I'm sorry if it was a misleading title, in the sub-heading I put Texture Issue, and that is all I am commenting on, not the content of the game or anything.
The game itself is awesome already, although I've barely begun.

Yah thats what i meant, i got scared thanks to you :(

But yeah installing is proving nothing but been a nightmare at the moment, the majority have recommended playing from disc as it looks the exact same, just helps with loading and quietness of your console :)

Im done testing and the rumor seems to be true... to some extent. It is a smidgeon worse, but the xbox is quiet and its hard to se the differance on a 32 inch HD Tv. I will defenetly keep it installed! This topic is nothing to worry about IMO. You will have to make do with only my word as a TES fan because I have some skyrim to play.

I will be here on to forum for a while to anwser some questions if you have. (No game play since I have just started.)

I really don't understand all these issues. I have the Xbox 360 version too, haven't installed it, and all looks absolutely fine, no textures missing or whatsoever.

Just tested this aswell. Nothing happens when I enter or leave the menu. Well except for the obvious menu screen popping up and down.

Im using a 360 "elite" Btw 120gb. 3 years old.

That will be fixed, these people shouldn't even be playing yet so i have NO sympathy whatsoever, the numerous 360 users on this forum say its stunning visually, textures are fine, and guess what, they didn't install..
It's 3 am, 11.11.11 in New Zealand, so yes, they should be playing.

I don't care about the textures as long as it's Skyrim I'm playing.

Regardless, the game should be up to scratch for those who are.

I pre-ordered the game from Webb-hallen. (internet retailer) They sent it to the post office some time ago to prevent it from being late. The post office does not care for release dates.
I wont be playing right now though im waiting untill Me and my friends gather up. 4 hours left untill that :P I just tested it for you guys.

First off I installed to HD, and was totally underwhelmed by what looked like an Oblivion expansion pack, i couldn't believe it looked so bad.

Then i read about the texture glitch, and uninstalled and played from disc. WoW! It looked AMAZING with the textures as they should be.

So i played through, everything working great. Unti i went to bleak falls barrow and the whole time in the dungeons the textures were missing. It went back to looking like Oblivion...I finished the Barrow and came out the other end back into Skyrim, and everything looked gorgeous again. But it seems the textures are completely hit and miss. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. .it's so irritating!

It completely spoils the immersion, because you're constantly looking around wondering what textures are working, and what aren't. When they work, its a beautiful looking game, when they don't it's infuriating, because it looks just like oblivion, sometimes worse.

Really hope they get a patch ASAP

No offense to OP but why even try this? Why not waiting the few extra seconds, I mean the load times can't be longer than Morrowind. Is it worth it to test this theory & have your textures ruined for who knows how long?!?! Just saying this is one more confirmation for console gamers. I won't be playing on 360 til saturday but PC tonight but I won't be installing on 360 for sure.
