Bathrooms in Skyrim!

Post » Mon Aug 24, 2009 1:22 am

There should be two versions of the game released.

One would contain bathrooms, but your character would have to go every 4 game hours (about four minutes in real time), and it would be a mini-game.

For the rest of us, there would be a version without that component, and we could play without interruption... though we would clearly be less hardcoe.

I said yes under the assumption bathroom is more of a term for time appropriate things like chamber pots etc.

Why of course, I'm not talking about the bathroom with a jacuzzi :P pots, buckets and stuff, but places that would imply what are people doing here.

I just want it to be outhouses spread sporadically throughout the city and some houses and inns that have chamber pots. Fellowship of the Ring had chamber pots in the Prancing Pony inn. When they're all sleeping in their beds at night, focus on the beds; you'll see chamber pots underneath them.

Yeah, I'd like to see some in Inns and richer houses, as well as in Castles.

No need for toilets and chamber pots. Just have an individual in a deep magicka enduced trance in the bathroom with their mouths open ready to receive the delivery...but who will they deliver to?

How will they use the bathrooms with their glued on undies?

I always suspected that the mages guild enchanted all the food in the world so that it would give the nutrients to the body but not get digested and thus no one had to go potty ever again.

Until a troll or a goblin comes poking around with sticks or...sharper weapons(No, I don't mean that, I mean the sword"

So I guess the sewers in the Imp City, as well as Vivec and Mournhold were just there for..... loot?

Exactly, if they have no water or bathrooms, what the heck they made the sewers for :P

I find the whole idea of using the bathroom (or being required to) as an "UnFun" aspect of any video game.

Back in the middle ages people just toss it out the window, so a lack of bathrooms offends our modern sensibilities, but back then it was common place.

Also remember - no toilet paper. They lived it rough no matter how you look at it. :)

... and I don't need any of that in a video game, they are supposed to be Fun.

I personally think the opposite: it'd be a bit unrealistic if there were toilets in Oblivion.

Now, if they want to throw in the occasional chamberpot and latrine hole, more power to them.

how would it be unrealistic considering they have a SEWER system hahaha

Blasphemy! To support those bloody Merish ideas of "bathrooms" is to support Alduin! You will pray for your own destruction!

Seriously though, just make a bucket in every home, I think people can figure out the rest.

THIS.

Lets face it, bathrooms are for Uncle John's bathroom reader, not for my Skyrim adventure.

".. ummm can you hold on a sec Mr. Dragon? My status says I have to take a dump right now or I'll soil my armor, and I just can't do battle in soiled armor." ... Sir Craps Alot - I just can't see it :)

I'll say it again, with http://img574.imageshack.us/img574/5746/screenshot3051.png
Does anyone think these (the chests, not the Altmer) look like toilets? When I first saw one in game, I had a right old laugh.

Glarthir was right, they are all in on it... YOU are all in on it! Don′t deny it, no toilets, in all of Nirn ? No, normal living beings have to relief themselves, YOU ARE ALL IN ON IT! ALL SPYING ON ME, I′VE SEEN IT! ALL PLOTTING MY DEMISE!

No... no... NOT THIS DAY! TAKE THIS! GGGYYAAAAHHHH!

Or something like that, at least it probably has made someone crazy that there are no bathrooms, but perhaps we will see yellow snow in Skyrim.
