not morning star, light bringer
It works either way. The Beowulf movie was boring to me, it was paced badly.

I thought it was okay, at least watchable.

It was a great film for what it was.

Much better than I expected it to be despite taking the hollywood route of seriously changing the source material practically beyond recognition.

It still manages to convey the messages of the source material pretty well though and is a useful tool for instructing young people.

I really liked it, it was definitely much better than I expected it to be. I especially like what they did with the ending. It would've been rather boring if they'd kept that the same as in the poem, but it still fits with the original material imo. And Anthony Hopkins was hilarious as a fat, drunken king.

I must admit that I was hoping for more naked Angelina though. :P

I swear everyone in the beowulf movie was Cross-eyed slightly. Very hard to take "I AM BEOWULF!!!" Serioulsy when his right eye is looking at you and his left eye is looking at the log over yonder...

Yikes, couldn't stand that one. Read the poem for AP Lit and didn't particularly enjoy it, but I remember finding the movie even less enjoyable (I'd elaborate, but I honestly can't remember the specifics). Do remember that Grendel was just plain gross though . . .
