Best potions? Anybody get 4 effects?

Probably gonna get smashed to death for saying it, but i LOATH potions. Always experience having to quaf a potion a sign of weakness. I rather kite a mob if possible untill stuff regens then go in inventory and start quaffing heals and such, unless its absolutly necesary. Always end up with tons of looted potions because i never use them ...
I think its a disease i picked up from Diablo I, stock up on full inventory with healpotions and see how long you can last on them, wich was usually not very long  so now i play every RPgish game with them in the same way, not use them unless its absolutly necesary. Lmao

Hotkey the potions then you don't have to worry about going to inventory. :)

Not sure they stack anyway, but you can have ring, necklace, and helmet - AFAIK - other pieces of armor won't take a Fortify Alchemy enchantment
For fortifying Alchemy you can enchant 5 (five) pieces. Necklace Ring Gloves (or gauntlets) Circlet Falmer Helmet. You can wear a circlet with a Falmer Helmet. Some wear it with Forsworn Helmet but I didn't try. So I have 5 pieces at 29% with skill level 100 and almost all Perks. I didn't want Green Thumb. As soon as I had a strong Enchant. potion, I went to the Arcane Altar to enchant new 5 pieces then recreated other potions. Easy but now it's not possible to go further. It's the Max... (Unless? Who knows?)

No. A circlet is what the Jarls are wearing. Almost like a crown. I am sure you found some! I have so many in my home. Maybe try to buy one if it's possible.

I'll have to pay more attention - maybe I thought it was just jewelry.

No. The circlet is like a crown that the Jarls are wearing on their forehands. I found so many in loot. Try to buy one.

EDIT: Sorry, I though my reply didn't show...

Yes now you see... So just enchant it, as well as a Falmer Helmet and wear both. With gloves, ring and necklace you'll get your 5 pieces. But before you must create a fortify Restoration potion. Drink the potion and equip your 5 items enchanted with fortify Alchemy. Create your second potion of fortify Restoration. Unequipped your gears and drink it. Re-equipped them and create a third potion, drink it, equip and now create lots of fortify restoration and fortify enchanting. Go to arcane altar to enchant a new set of fortify alchemy (5 new pieces). In doing so you must first drink a potion of fort. Restoration, then a potion of fortify Enchanting and enchant an item with grand soul gem. Then same thing for each item to enchant. See.....
After that you return to create new potions with your new 5 pieces having now a great enchantment. You are ready to create strong potions for fortify smithing! Haha... I have just learned that today

I thought Bethesda had learned their lesson from Morrowind - where you could stack potions, create stronger potions, repeat, repeat, etc, etc to assume god-like attributes - like Strength 250 for a week at a time. I personally had my Intelligence up over 5,000 to create potions

ps what does the Fortify Restoration do?

The fortify restoration potion has a glitch such that if you equip an item enchanted with fortify alchemy while under its effects, the potion fortifys the enchantments effects (I'd guess because the enchantment is flagged as a restoration effect, perhaps to allow perks & blessings to benefit it). As such, your ability to make potions can directly improve your ability to make potions... just like in Morrowind.
Without that glitch, the endless upwards spiral doesn't happen; you can make fortify enchanting potions to allow you to make better fortify alchemy gear, but the improvements remain low enough to not create an endless positive feedback loop.

I wouldn't say it's a glitch. Restoration improves. So if you do things under this improvment it reflects on it.

And I wouldn't say it stays low. After 4 times I got: Fortify Carry Weight by 11177 by 300 secs. The price?? 179507. So you'll make Skyrim very rich. Fortify enchanting is 1905 stronger. Price 8144. Lockpicking 5588% at 22171. Fortify smithing is 7620% at 46778 gold. Etc, etc...

You can stay lower or even go higher. But all that is funny at level 72 as I don't have much to do anymore. My health was strong enough. My weapons and armor also. But if you stay at a reasonable level it pays. I just wanted to try. By the way Fort. restoration improves also your ability to enchant. If you drink a restoration potion, your items with fortify health will increase in your inventory, as well as those with fort. magicka. I learned that recently so I must now test it...
