Bethesda games...which one are good?

Skyrim is my very first Bethesda game. I was wondering what other Bethesda games on the PS3 are worthy to buy?

As far as I know, none.

Their only game for the PS3 is Skyrim, but I could be wrong.

Edit: Actually i was wrong. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Fallout: New Vegas are all available on the PS3, and will hopefully be games that you'll enjoy. I would recommend that you look into all of them. I personally have played them all (but on PC) and derived a lot of satisfaction from them, and if you love Skyrim I think you will too.

FallOut 3 and New Vegas IMMEDIATLY come to mind, and they've both been released for PS3.

Fallout 3 has been released for the PS3, but i hear the GOTY edition has some serious performance problems. Oblivion has too, and that should work pretty well (because the PS3 port wasn't done by Bethesda :hehe:), but avoid becoming a vampire, the cure quest is bugged.

Rule of thumb, don't buy Bethesda's games for PS3

@ FallenAzraelx Yes, I was mistaken originally, but I edited my post after double checking and finding that I was initially mistaken. But I'm sure you were in the process of posting when I was making my edit.

Oblivion (previous game in The Elder Scrolls series) was also released for the PS3, if you're interested in that.

Oblivion and Fallout 3 are the only other games that have been fully developed by Bethesda and released on the PS3. There is also Fallout:New Vegas which was partly developed by Bethesda but the main bulk of the work was done by Obsidian. I love all three games so I highly suggest them.

Let me help you.

Skyrim
Fallout 3
Oblivion

The only good thing bethesda has done recently, is let Obsidian make fallout new vegas. They even [censored] that up too, by being greedy [censored]s.

New Vegas is not a Bethesda game but an Obsidian game, which explains why it's good.

I don't think you can get Morrowind on the PS3, can you? Otherwise both Oblivion and Fallout 3 are still better than Skyrim, so you'll probably enjoy those.

No there isn't a way to get Morrowind for PS3.

I've really enjoyed the following and logged hundreds of hours playing some of them:

Fallout New Vegas
Oblivion
Fallout 3
RAGE
Morrowind

However, after playing Skyrim, I don't think I could ever go back to playing Oblivion or Morrowind.

Looking forward to http://www.dishonored.com and DOOM 4 (and whatever Shinji Mikami is working on).

Alright, so let's settle this right now. Bethesda fully developed and released the engine for Fallout 3. They turned it over to Obsidian who, with the help of some of the original team from Fallout 1 and 2, modified it to create Fallout:New Vegas.
BUT
Do you really, honestly, believe that Bethesda would let them release a game - with OUT checking it out first? No way. It's a Bethesda game, through and through. That's why their name appears first on the title screen, and Obsidian's second.

Didn't Bethesda publish Rogue Warrior?

:-) Not every game is going to be a smash hit. Overall, however, I'd say they have an amazing track record.

People know bethe did QA and Obsidian still gets blamed for bugs.

No its not a bethesda game, it may use their engine but that dosent mean jack [censored]. If I lend you tools to make something, what you make isnt mine.

Bethesda's record as a publisher is bad.

Brink was unplayable.
NV was buggy, I love it but admit that.
WET was forgetable.
Rage was nothing special.
Hunted was forgetable.

Then they canceled prey 2 which had potential, and screwed over Obsidian with FNV payments.

They did, just like with NV. However, they had less to do with the original creation and more to do with the final approval. For example, when things were not working out with the team from Zombie Studios, Bethesda fired them and replaced them with Rebellion. In that sense, it's still a "Bethesda" game, as it meets their standards. Just like NV. I'm not disputing the huge amount of work and improvements that Obsidian did and made, mind you. I'm just making the claim that it is a Bethesda.

If you have a PC made after 2003 or so, I'd recommend The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. It's not on PS3, but it's a great game.
As others have said, fallout 3, Fallout new Vegas, and the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion are on PS3, but I have heard that they are all much buggier than their PC and Xbox 360 versions.

So you're saying that Rogue Warrior meets Bethesda's standards? Okay, point made.

Oblivion was my first RP experience. It was absolutely great. I recommend it.

Fallout 3 was my first nuclear RP/Shooter experience. It was absolutely great. I recommend it.

Fallout New Vegas... Was made by obsidian.

So the story, characters, choices, atmosphere, and so an so forth are better for it.
