Bethesda say lag issue was "occasional problem " com

Wooooow.

Now that is just wrong lol. I know you are mad but seriously?

Agreed. That's a rather ignorant thing to say. However, while his military service is appreciated, it has nothing to do with this issue really. That's what I thought at least.

It is not false. It was occasional since NOT all PS3 users experienced it. I, for one, did not see as many issues as players on these forums claim. I only saw a few that are on the patch list and only rarely saw them under certain conditions. Other in game conditions everything went just fine.
I'm dissapointed that none of you will ever be satisfied with the greatest RPG of all time, no matter what. This IS the Pinnacle of what sandbox RPG has ever done, for Elder Scrolls, but A few players say foul and all of a suddun everyone acts like children and they find problems as well. I have more than a dozen frinds that I have talked to FACE to FACE ya RL friends, that have the game , and very few have major problems. The ones we found were occasional.
I also asked USMG(United States Military Gamers) clan of witch I'm a veteran member, and very few had only very small issues. Nothing like the ones posted here.

So with that said, as a Marine, I must say your post is complete RUBBISH!!!! Not to mention childish, immature , and sohpimoric. Grow up and get some, SON.

Okay, where to start with this one. Lets begin with thank you for joining the military. Your service is appreciated. However, bringing that up does not entitle you to a more qualified position to judge or to tell someone else to "get some." Among the thousands of copies of Skyrim that were sold, you think that a dozen or so of RL friends is an adequate sample size that completely negates the issues brought up routinely from bethesda games?
People are angry and might not know the best way to convey it. Many are disappointed because these are issues, ps3 framerate for example, that should have been noticeable before the games release. People are pissed off because if this were any other product (a car that stopped moving after 3-4 hours of use) there would have been a recall and an apology. "Occassional" loses its meaning when it can be replaced by the word "expected."

 No one cares about your military service.

And there lie the problem with America, and it's youth today. You simply care about you and no one else in the world, do you?

I was not bringing it up out of pride or ego. USMG is a huge world wide gaming clan made of civilians, active duty and vateran service members, with experience on many games on ALL platforms. That is what gives me the insight to say what I said. Nothing else. Look em up maybe you can join and enjoy a great gaming community as well. We are on Facebook. USMG has been writen about in an article from Game Informer Magazine, also.

Marines get our pride because we can do things that less than .0001% of people in the world can do, and we do it 110% of the time for our entire lives. We don't do it for ourselves, we do it for humanity.

I have 2 characters with over 75 hrs each and I only get laggy after about 3-4 hours of play, and quitting the game and restarting it fixes it for another 3-4 hours. So yes, for some people this is an "occasional problem". I feel bad for the people who are having issues, but it isnt everybody. Thats why it's labelled as occasional.

The problem is that people are downloading the patch and not resting for a month in-game to allow the cells to refresh like they should have been doing so all along.

Some things take that long. From what I'm led to believe, most things take no longer than a week.

After you rest once, the game should continue reseting things as you go along. If someone could test this out and post on here, that would be great. I'll be going home to test it after I complete my last pending work assignment today.

EDIT: Strange, that I'm a software tester eager to run home and test more software.

I agree, this being loyal to your country stuff is BS. How can I be loyal when I know that my country could turn on me in a instant? There's a good reason why I never swear allegience to any flag.

We don't do it for ourselves, we do it for humanity.

Thing is.. the other side of a conflict tend to believe the same thing. Tough world huh.

Anyway, your main point is that you are a part of a large clan of gamers, so you're claiming a reasonable sample. Problem is that without time played, save game file size etc, its not a reliable statistic.

I'm assuming marines have less time to play than you're average teenager who like to post here with vitriol.

It was the implied entitlement that being a marine makes your opinion more valid which rubbed people the wrong way, I'm sure thats not what you meant. But enough derailing the topic.

Of course they are going to say occasional, rare etc... this is all fluff that is completely unrelated. Fact is, a patch has been applied, which does not fix the issue, but improves things. This is bad news. It implies the problem is not fixable.

As for waiting for an in-game month, does that solve it permanently, or until the file size increases? We'll have to wait and see..

And then you use it to make yourself feel like you're more qualified to tell people they're idiots about a game that has zero relativity to the United States, it's Military, or military service in general.

As far as I'm concerned, you can go the hell away and put your marine pride back in your damn pants and talk to us like you aren't entitled because you're in an organization we aren't. You post around thinking you're better than people in an area of human ability that has zero to do with a VIDEOGAME, and act like we're all heretical fools for calling you out on it. You accuse people of being childish while you amusingly carry around one of the most adolescent flags of chauvanism: showing off for no apparent reason other than fractured and self-entitled egos.

Seriously, just go away.

This thread has become more about something else than about Skyrim on the PS3.
