Bethesda say lag issue was "occasional problem " com

Post » Wed May 16, 2012 10:37 pm

In patch notes they called it an occasional problem. Based on the amounts of threads and polls that comment is complete crap. Their public relations is a disgrace. They should speak to dice for some tips. I have played 3 hours since the new patch and nothing is fixed. Bunch of idiots. And as for Pete Hines he is a lying git who should lose his job for deceiving paying customers into thinking this patch would fix it. He is a complete idiot.

What the heck does that matter? Come on its a word.

And obviously its the most common problem thats why they've addressed it and why most of people are here to look for the solutions.

Well, it was the main concern in the patch, so "occasional" is a drastic understatement.

It's just PR being PR. It doesn't really matter whether they put 'occasional' or not, especially because everybody already knows the lag certainly wasn't an 'occasional' issue anyway.

And l those "rare" occasions they mentioned are "common" or "regular" to say the least.

VP of PR Pete Hines tweeted this:

DCDeacon: Played Skyrim on PS3 for hours after I installed the update and had no problems! THANK YOU

And as for Pete Hines he is a lying git who should lose his job for deceiving paying customers into thinking this patch would fix it. He is a complete tool.

He never said the patch would fix it, he said it would improve it. From what I can see, it's been improved.

OP get over yourself, his not the first person not to call a game crap from a company he works for. Even if he thought there was a problem he cant really say it outloud and have to be vague about it. No one in a company is ever going to call their product crap because they want you to buy it nor will they say it has a major issue when it does because they want the issue to go away.

I assume it was a typo, meant to read "Occasionaly fix problem where..." not "Fix occasional problem where..."

It is not false. It was occasional since NOT all PS3 users experienced it. I, for one, did not see as many issues as players on these forums claim. I only saw a few that are on the patch list and only rarely saw them under certain conditions. Other in game conditions everything went just fine.
I'm dissapointed that none of you will ever be satisfied with the greatest RPG of all time, no matter what. This IS the Pinnacle of what sandbox RPG has ever done, for Elder Scrolls, but A few players say foul and all of a suddun everyone acts like children and they find problems as well. I have more than a dozen frinds that I have talked to FACE to FACE ya RL friends, that have the game , and very few have major problems. The ones we found were occasional.
I also asked USMG(United States Military Gamers) clan of witch I'm a veteran member, and very few had only very small issues. Nothing like the ones posted here.

So with that said, as a Marine, I must say your post is complete RUBBISH!!!! Not to mention childish, immature , and sohpimoric. Grow up and get some, SON.

Improve it as giving us more lag? :sadvaultboy:

Eh I'll try later tonight to patch it and see how it goes.

You people are being completely unreasonable. Firstly, those are release notes for a patch, so they are making reference to issues in programming terms. "Occasional" is exactly the term to describe the issue, as it is not consistent for all players.

Anyway, I never had the problem either, and I played over 50 hours on one character, save-file got well over 6mb. I'm glad they released a patch, that's a step in the right direction.

I just got home right now from swapping my ps3 copy for a xbox 360 version and doubt i will regret it.
Sadly i still will have to start all over again, but that is better than not being able to play at all or waiting endlessly for a fix that might never come.

I never really expected it to be fixed, sure I was hoping -who wasn't? Been playing my wife's PC version since like November 14th or so. Thought about buying my own copy off Steam but I do feel a little cheated having to buy two copies (I got the CE mind you) just to get ONE playing copy of a game.

I sadly, have accepted the fact that Skyrim on the PS3 will never be on par with the other versions, and have moved on.

I was like you once, then the lag conquered me aswell. Also, theres no need to bring up the fact that your a marine, people will find it patronising.
