Bethesda as long as Todd Howard is in your employ, you will see no more money from me.

Not only is he a pathological liar, but as usual he makes your entire company look bad when his old promises get dug up.

"The third DLC is having performance issues with the PS3, so we'll postpone it for two months".

To be fair, depending on how far the house customization goes, how many houses we can have and what quests go with them, it could very well count as an expansion pack.

Not every expansion pack has to have some big, important quest/story at the center of it.

I would say so.

Obsidian said that Legion in New Vegas was going to have a lot of content and be on par with NCR in terms of it IIRC and they were, but Bethesda didn't extend the deadline and they were forced to cut it.
Obsidian didn't lie, they told the truth, New Vegas was gonna have more Legion content but their deadline was too short to fully design it all.
Bethesda on the other hand decides their own deadline, and Dawnguard does not seem like an expansion to me, more like a mini-expansion or a big DLC, but not an expansion.
And Hearthfire is basically like Frostcrag Spire.

So I'd say Toddy lied.

If you think there's going to be any quest involved with Hearthfire other than "?Build Your House" you're kidding yourself.

I really don't mind small DLC's like Hearthfire as long as we also get big ones. Hearthfire probably didn't take that much effort to make.

"In between those expansions, Howard is committed to releasing smaller pieces of content for the game.
"Because that gap is going to be bigger, we want to put litle things out for free in between. We've already done that for PC with http://kotaku.com/5883064/skyrims-official-high-resolution-texture-pack-makes-your-dovahkiin-sixier-than-ever/gallery/?tag=skyrim. We're trying to figure out what those things are.""

Hearthfire should fit that sentence.

Exactly. Bethesda is charging $5 for what Howard said would be free.

Howard states 2 different types of DLC: expansions and little free content updates.

So unless Hearthfire is considered an expansion ( in which case I laugh ), it's supposed to be one of those "little updates".

"A second DLC has been released and isn't an expansion, therefore none of them will!"
Really, people. As Klawed said, isn't it likely they're just trying to get rid of the exclusivity with a smaller DLC? Were you really expecting a bunch of expansions?

Todd is evil for releasing a small DLC to quickly end the Xbox360 30-day exclusivity contract to focus on multiplatform DLC releases?
