I found a letter on the body of a soldier in Frostmoth. It's his last letter to his wife, and it really made me want to put the controller down and cry. My character now keeps that letter (and several others) on him at all times, to remind him of what's really important in life.

Then make the whole point of the game to seek retribution for the atrocities and destruction.

What would you take revenge on? Red Mountain? Umbra? Clavicus Vile? And why, as Dragonborn of Skyrim, would your player character even give a rat's ass what happened to Morrowind?

I don't know. I know mine doesn't. Same with this captain guy. Cut his head right off and didn't give it a second thought. He was wearing fairly high ranking Imperial armor so I just figured 'good riddance, one less in the world,' and walked my happy ass back out.

It really hit be hard and I just saw it in a Let's Play.

I roleplayed through Morrowind pretty seriously, and was relieved to find that after helping me fight the werewolves, Carius turned out to be alive. Its going to be painful to put him down in Dragonborn. ;.;

yes but its not really him
jusy a shadow

It's not just you. I felt dreadfully sad. Captain Carius didn't deserve that fate. May he rest well.

I don't know about resting well...

It was a mercy killing to be sure, but I sent his soul to Sithis.

So I don't think it'll be too peaceful... ;)
