Considering he had gone crazy I don't think you should feel bad. Consider it a mercy killing.

I like how they incorporated him into the DLC, seeing as he was a major character in Bloodmoon. I agree that it was a bit sad what had happened to him.

I think this would be the reaction if Bethesda did allow players to go back to Morrowind at some point. Players have fond memories of the land they knew, but so much of it is in ruins now. The Argonians and Red Mountain have destroyed nearly everything that players remember exploring. I just think it would be sad to go back at this point.

The few things I don't like about dragonborn
1 that fort frostmoth was in ruins was hopeing to see some legion there
2 no mention of nervar
3 can't control dragon riding
4 those unique schmitar don't look unique(I also set my self up hopeing they were true flame and hopes fire)
5 staff enchanting was not as good as I was hopeing

Just lilttle things otherwise a truely awesome dlc.

I haven't heard no one mention him in conversation but isn't there a whole book about him?

I know one NPC mentions it and I think there is a book. I am fairly certain the NPC is in Raven Rock.

The journal in the undercroft of the fort explains it was a necromancer playing around with Heartstones. Or I am at least thinking it was a Necromancer. You never find the one who did it to him, just the journal, which makes reference to some sort of "Revenge".

Carius is in a better place now.

It's really sad what's become of a land we once knew, that story about dusty the silt strider was as equally saddening

It's not just you. I felt dreadfully sad. Captain Carius didn't deserve that fate. May he rest well.

See now this is why I think it would be great. Go back an SE the devastation. Then make the whole point of the game to seek retribution for the atrocities and destruction.

As I Said, I haven't played MW that much.

But didn't Raven Rock say that they pretty much abandoned Solestheim?

It really hit be hard and I just saw it in a Let's Play.

I roleplayed through Morrowind pretty seriously, and was relieved to find that after helping me fight the werewolves, Carius turned out to be alive. Its going to be painful to put him down in Dragonborn. ;.;
