Like I said, stern, but for some reason they reminded me of honorable knights. :cryvaultboy:
You can't really hold the whole suicide mission thing against them. That's like the #1 RPG convention: you have to do some quest to get any help from anyone. BoS does what is best for themselves. Would you send an army to invade an enemy facility you know nothing about? They're not black and white. They actually think things through. They're also very disciplined, which is why saying the wrong thing will get you booted.
Honorable my ass. Sure, a difficult mission to test ability is one thing, but you have to remember
how and
why they gave you the suicide mission to the Glow. You had to pester them for admittance repeatedly, each time being rebuffed. Finally, instead of just telling you to get lost, that they would never let you in, like
honorable people may have done, they come up with an impossible task on the spot to get you out of their hair. Remember how one BOS soldier seemed surprised when the other mentioned the "quest"? Then quickly recovered and went along with it, saying it was a "standard task" that all seeking admittance had to pass? And how they selected the most deadly place they could think of off the top of their heads? A place so deadly that even if you escaped it, it could kill you days later? Remember how surprised they are when you return, mission accomplished?
When your initiation criteria is an impossible suicide mission that no one has EVER returned from, it is pretty evident that you belong to an order that does not want new initiates.
With the new "if you wear NCR clothes CL will shoot you" thing, does that mean NCR will shoot on sight if you wear a BOS power armor, cause in that case: :roflmao:
I can expect lots of people going "Hey what the hell man, I'm helping you guys why are you shooting at me!?".
Yes, it has been stated that even if you are in the good graces of a faction, wearing a rival factions armor or clothing in their in their controlled areas will get you shot.
