The 360 version wins big time over the PS3 version, even if we DON'T count the game wrecking bug. Trust me. Rocks solid. Played the PS version for 60 hours before I traded it for the 360 version, and have now been playing that for two days straight. Looks soooo much better, plays so much better and has only frozen once for me so far. Loving it. My advice is to borrow a 360 from someone (or what the hell - rent it if you must) and get a 360 copy. Only for the graphics alone I would do this.

I will be buying an Xbox 360 sometime after the holidays regardless, but I really hope Bethesda fixes the issue before then. If they fix it at all, that is, so I can enjoy Skyrim on the PS3 without having to buy it on the 360, therefore, wait. :)

It would be great if they would fix it. Then, they would be able also to fix Fallout 3/NV ... not saying they would, but there is a pretty good chance that the problems correlate.

Lag and Blur is fixable. I would rather wait than spend a lot of money for another system :ahhh:

It sure does, but playing the xbox version was a revelation... It's way more detailed. And I haven't experienced ANY framedrop so far. I mean ANY. It's super solid. The only area PS3 wins here is that there were a bit fewer pop-ups.

It might seem like I'm some microsoft fan coming here to the PS3 section to troll, but I'm not. Just as pissed off about this as any of you. Just so glad to be playing this fantastic game pain free here!

Yes but knowing Bethesda they may not even fix these issues. I'm not angry, I just simply made a poor choice on the system I bought, seeing as how every single game I love (Besides the Uncharted series, of course) sees better treatment on the Xbox 360. Bad consumer decisions, it happens.

At least when I get a 360 I will have a PS3 for a blue ray player and still have the Uncharted games. :)

Have you ever considered that 'certain' games companies do shoddy PS3 ports to entice us to switch platform?

Its a thought, also its usually companies who are 'friendly' with microsoft, hmmm.. hence the xbox only Skyrim adverts.

If you have a 360, buy that version. If you've been thinking about purchasing a 360, now would be a great time. I don't believe the PS3 version will ever be fixed and I sure as hell don't believe it will EVER run as well as the 360 version.

Oh dear; look the game is a lot of fun, and there is nothing too annoying. Patches are said to be coming for all platforms, so if the price is right, give it a go. If you still can't decide, watch a few YouTube "Let's Play"s and figure it out.

But I don't think Skyrim is the next Dead Island.

I have the option of both consoles. I chose PS3, due to a number of reasons. I will only name two of those reasons. 1. Controller 2. Less likely to have hardware failure.
If I was getting the lag I would wait, it is not worth purchasing a entire console to play one game. When I bought my 360, I had a few games I wanted to buy. It was a waste of my money I barely use the thing. If your a devoted Playstation fan like me and you do not like paying for online, then the 360 isn't a good investment for you. Take it from me, I bought one and I regret it. I wish I had my money back. If you don't mind paying to play and you actually want the system for more than just Skyrim, then go for it. Also, when you start experiencing lag save and turn off your console, this will clear the memory. It will then be good to go for at least another 2 hours. I dont notice lag since I only play for 2 hours at a time and then shut it off and do homework. If I was in your situation I would do what I said to do and wait for a patch. Theres no need to play any game for more than 2 hours at a time, it is hard on your eyes. Most game manuals tell you to take 15 minute breaks between each hour, I think you should listen to them.

I have to agree with wpw Skyrim does play much better on the xbox360 but that's because it was made on xbox360,I hear alot of people claiming that the ps3 version is a port but I don't know if that's true or not. either way I feel really Ripped off. [censored] you Bethesda you [censored] svcking ass licking sons of a [censored]es.now I gotta go out and get an xbox360 just so I can play this Damn game.guess I'll trade in my PS3 copy then.

So I have both systems and have been wondering this as well. I think I will wait to see what the patch fixes before needlessly dropping another $60

I hate to say it but I'm in the same boat. I typically favor PS3 as my console of choice. I bought it for PS3 opening day, but have since opted out for the 360 version. My wife took the PS3 version and got hooked, so we decided we should buy a second copy. I had been playing for 3 days at that point on PS3. Our 360 just died so I bought a new copy of the game and a new XBOX. It does look sharper and more detailed overall. But, there are some frame rate slow downs even on the 360 in a handful of areas. Nothing significant, but frame rate drops nonetheless..

I bought an XBox yesterday, just for testing the game on it, and after 10h of playing i have to say, it runs so much better than on the PS3. It`s really a shame, but i guess not changeable!

*sigh*
I have a PS3 and Xbox 360 and bought skyrim for the 360. Yes it played great for a few days until my 6 month old xbox started freezing after an hour of gameplay (faulty console, not faulty skyrim)... I'd rahter buy Skyrim for the PS3 as it has always been a more solid system and I can run it for hours without a hitch, but with these lag issues I don't know. I almost just want to buy it for the PS3 and wait for patches instead of fork over big bucks for another 360 system... I'm hoping these PS3 issues get ironed out. If your 360 is in great working condition then I'd recommend buying skyrim for the xbox....

frustrating either way....

Pete Hines has said that a patch is on its way for Certification and released a week after.. The million dollar question. Would the patch solve Frame rate problem? Or shall I Fus Roh Dah my ps3??
