Calling all Archers

31 levels too late. :( (scribbles down for next run through)

I don't have any major tips, but maybe these will be helfpul:
Keep 3 levels of arrows. When progressing through a dungeon, start off with the weaker. When you cross the first door with a title, upgrade. Repeat until you reach the final challenge of the dungeon. Saves on spending for ebony+ arrows.

Keep Falmer arrows. At 2g each, it's free money with zero weight.

Beware Bullseye. While a 16% (apparently even the amount is a glitch) chance to paralyse sounds nice, a lot of people have reported problems with it since kill-cams were introduced in 1.5, the animation triggers on firing, so the arrow misses and causes no damage.

I never wanted that perk because I "want them to fight back".

Best shot I had was a killcam trigger that missed the goat and went off the cliff, I was trying to knock it off with the shot and watch it fall cause I think it's funny, and at the bottom of the cliff the arrow hit a sabre cat and killed it. After that I Fus Ro Dah'd the goat off the cliff anyway.

well i was doing battle or whiterun with my archer-assassin and you would think i was welding a deadric greatsword. i was on the front lines killing off anyone who approached me, i killed most of them just before they were in melee range and did not get hit once. later on in the fight i jumped the drawbridge wall (yes, i went in the wrong way, lol) and ended up fighting my way through a good sized group of imperials with no way of eve back tracking.

bah, i am probably making this tale nowhere near as grand as it tually was

Hey  as for builds I would recommend something close to this http://skyrimcalculator.com/#139005 . Disregard the enchantment, smithing, and alchemy perks if you're not interested. You may not want to use upper level perks in pickpocketting as well, however I enjoy doing it. The rest I would highly recommend.

This perks set allows
-Your enemies to fight back, but not render your ability to aim.
-Improve enchanted armour
-Protect yourself, negate some melee damage, negate armour weight, and regen stamina faster (for slow time aiming)
-Triple bow damage when sneaking and make yourself less noticable when sneaking
-Easier pickpocketting, find more gold, get better loot, lock pick faster, and your lockpick never breaks!
-Pickpocket friend and foe alike with ease, poison enemies, remove enemies armour and weapons
-Get better prices on items, sell stolen goods, and sell more loot to vendors
-Create better potions and poisons (Recommended highly if you're playing on higher difficulties and going to poison enemies)
-Enchant better and stronger enchantments and place two enchantments on items.

I make groups of Forsworn chase me till I get to a cliff and I Fus Ro Dah them off it, it rains bodies a lot in my Skyrim. I do it to just about anything too, it's good fun to watch them fall after being blasted off the cliff side with UF.

You can alway sneak up on a Greybeard and keep shooting them until you level up Just switch to the next greybeard when the current targets health gets low. I used this to level up my sneak but found it works for archery as well.
does it work with other things like one-handed, destruction etc.?

dont ever try to kill a dragon on a horse its not even close to fun its possible but hard lol
Hard is fun. And its not too hard to do anyways. I'd actually suggest trying to kill dragons on your horse because being an archer is overpowered after ranking the damage perk a few times so it adds a little challenge.

The first thing I would like to share is a trick to level up your archery for no coin at all.
1. First thing you have to do is tak to Fendal in Riverwood and give Camillia Valerious the letter.
2. You tell Fendal "Follow me, I need your help.
3. Then you ask him if he can train you in archery (spend as much as you can)
4. After that tell him you need to trade some things with him then recollect your gold.
5. Repeat

The only downfall to this is you can only do this up to level 50 Archery.
same trick with Aela up until 75 archery

I'm sure alot of you already know, But you can grab Steel arrows from the Imperial soldiers practicing, just be careful to stay out of the line of Fire.

I also Grab Arrows from the Thieves guild Archer's as they practice. Those "seem" to be Lvl dependant. I've gotten Glass, Orcish and Ebony at different lvls.
I just tried this, but it didnt seem to work. What could i be doing wrong? it seems pretty simple on paper...

trouble is,with a daedric bow smithed up to the 9's and a fire enchantment on it not many targets get close these days.
i did the 'kill off the dark brotherhood' quest and i think only one of them even saw me. rest of 'em were two shot kills at the most.
actually..that was quite satisfying now i think on, unsuspected and undetected!

snaking up to a foresworn stronghold and wiping 'em out and they've no idea where i am does not get old.
id quite like a little something ingame that can calculate how far away my latest kill was,i reckon ive made kills at 200 yards but id like to be sure. cheers
