I hve no tips, but i was wondering, has anyone else noticed that arrows tend to just go through enemies passed a certain distance?

Does anyone else not really like the second tier of the slow time effect? I really enjoyed the first one, but I almost feel like the second tier is a bit to slow :(

That has something to do with the game settings. You can change that when you are on pc but not on console

As well as Pick-pocketing superior arrows onto Guards or TG characters, then collecting them when they practise their Archery, (make sure you remove their stock arrows first), I always make sure if I'm travelling with someone I give them a single Ebony or Daerdic arrow, and then collect the ones they've fired. Always enough to keep me supplied.

Is it just me, or does anyone else like to match their arrows to their bow? I never got a Daedric bow, but found many Ebony ones, and I tend to use Ebony arrows. (At least I did, until the 1.5 glitch offered way more than 4 extra damage when using Daedric arrows.)

I'm sure alot of you already know, But you can grab Steel arrows from the Imperial soldiers practicing, just be careful to stay out of the line of Fire.
Also, you can pickpocket Daedric, or whatever you want, on to the Imperial archers in Solitude. They'll equip them and you'll have an arrow farm.

Edit: pieofdeath123 beat me to it :*(

If you are constantly getting noticed after firing an arrow and the bad guys won't stop looking for you, sheath your arrow. Usually resets and puts you back in hidden status.

i play a completely sneakless archer, thanks to the followers mod it works perfectly. through the mod i am allowed to take lydias bow off and now she's the perfect tank while i just stand there and shoot arrows... basically... it's like i am an... archer!

edit: i only use the bow so i see already a sad issue incoming... as soon as i get 100 archery lvling will get though.

For $h!ts and giggles climb to the top of the roof on http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Jorrvaskr and start raining down arrows at anything that moves. If you get board throw a little storm call. For some reason the NPC's cannot hit you from behind the wood scrolls on the roof top. My first shot is in the knee of the first guard I see.

I kind of have to agree. Especially in RP instances it doesn't make a great perk.

We don't use it, but I can see why it's there - I mean if you're concentrating IRL "time slows" - so it's a way of getting that across.
But for RP I would probably find it too artificial I think and Niamh isn't that sort of an archer anyway. She's good, but she isn't perfect - if you get my drift.

I love it

If you get the timing right between zoom in/slow time, loose arrow, knock new arrow, drop back into zoom in/slow time your able to be quite effective at crowd control. A close quarters archer if you will
The arrow farming trick also works with the TG, just pick pocket their arrows off of em then replace with what ever arrows you want to farm.

throw in a lil tip here if you complete thieves guild questline err maybe I should put a spoiler tag in … don't know how sorry. so if u haven't finished ALL the thieves guild quests don't LOOK! any hoot if u have finished all the quests and have the extra merchants you can steal a random enchanted daedric bow from one of the vendors also some sweet potions and armor. Its fun to steal things from ppl and put my peerless necklace of haggling and Volsung mask and sell em back to em haha

I have a story. I was roaming the mountains by Windhelm and I was attacked by my first frost troll on master when i was a lower level. Needless to say I was shocked when it came at me from behind and knocked me down. I used whirlwind sprint to get some distance between us. As it charged me I drew my bow and started to fire a volley of arrows. I hit it in both of its legs and in in its shoulders as well as its chest. It fell to its knees defeated. I closed the distance and pulled my dagger. I stood face to face with the beast and looked into its eyes. It knew it was bested. I allowed it to regain its feet so it could die with some dignity and then i ended its existence with a slash of the knife. It was a truely worthy foe.

I killed a bandit from about 120 yards before I had the slow time effect.

I've done that.
