Can we all relax about the PS3 version now? Thanks.

I've seen it in person, I don't know why you're having issues with the PS3 version. The one I saw on PS3 worked fine, in fact, graphics and textures seemed a little better than 360, while the 360 had stronger shadows. Both had a solid framerate though.

Its just funny how some Xbox 360 users post anything to make a PS3 version sound bad.. while most of us on the PS3 are very mature and would just like a nice game.
thats sarcasm right?

I've seen more videos and heard more claims that the PS3 version is the same-if not superior to-the Xbox version than not, so for right now my glass if overflowing.

There's been gameplay footage available for view online, and upon seeing it, frankly i think the game looks better on PS3. The water is the most realistic ive seen in a video game, hell, even more so than some movies. The graphics are crisp, bright and not all clammy and dank like Fallout 3 GOTY. It's a welcome change. During the entire video i didnt notice one. single. second. of. lagging. If anyone doesnt believe me just go to youtube and do a bit of research. If anything, it does look EXACTLY like the xbox 360 version, except without these rumoured texture problems. There is a tiny, yes, TINY bit of pop-in but it's barely noticeable and not distracting in the slightest. The sound is sharp and not dull or muffled in any way. It really seems like a total clone of the 360 version.

Believe me or not, doesn't matter to me, but this is directed to those who are panicking about the PS3 version being no good because of what's been circulating online lately.

The game works flawlessly from what ive seen so far, and might i add the PS3 used in the video was a FAT OLD 80 GB PS3.

Everyone, breathe. Skyrim is just as incredible on the PS3.

And if you don't believe me, i really couldn't care less. Go look it up on youtube and see it for yourself. I for one am grabbing the PS3 collector's edition and am not regretting it.
Now the only thing left to do is wait for 11/11/11 :ahhh:
Thank you. I was wondering what all of this mess about lag and low fps was. I am very happy to hear that it is all nonsense! :celebration:

I have xbox 360 on order, but I might get the ps3 one as well, as I have both consoles.

PS3 always does water well, not sure why.

I don't see why anyone would think the PS3 version would be a buggy mess, beth wouldn't release it like that.
Bethesda was paid by Microsoft to showcase the Xbox version, not to make the PS3 version inferior. Just because they were getting paid a little [censored]-ton on the side to show one version doesn't mean all the other versions svck.

This doesn't look to good for the PS3...

He was on an old PS3 and said in the comments that it only started after he'd been playing for some time. People with the newer consoles should be okay.

I've just watched a comparison video, the ps3 version actually looks better. i am shocked that they actually took the time to make it look better on the stronger hardware, rather than make a sloppy port. Seems like the OP also noticed the water, good thing it is not just me.

On youtube, I saw a great video that shows the graphic differences, between PS3 and Xbox360 and Xbox360 with the game installed.

This vid is not correct. Look at HD previews of the 360 console by the likes of IGN, the hand graphics are more refined and the picture is a lot sharper and brighter.

This Forumite is correct.

That "Comparison" video is completely wrong. There is -nothing- different, visually, between the PS3 version and the 360 version. Don't rely on sloppily made videos.

There have been a few people with the old 1st release PS3's that have the game and comments are positive. It doesn't matter what type of PS3 you have, but the condition of your machine could come into play.

I've kind of gotten myself worried about the PS3 version. My 360 has died and my PC can't run it on max. (plus just not a pc gamer) I really have no other option, but I'm kind of afraid. I'm sure it's nothing though! I know it'll be mind blowing, just a little pre-game nerves :P

Bethesda make good quality games and they would have done all they could possible do to optimise graphics and gameplay for PC, Xbox and PS3 users. I'd advise also not to listen to the people that use 'toaster shot' videos to make judgements, e.g. above, to sway your decision. All the reviews look good, and since there is no difference between console versions (So i'm strongly informed), you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Frankly, I was torn with which version (360 or PS3) to get. I own both so, obviously, I'm not partial to either. Ultimately, I went with the Xbox 360 version since most of my buddies are on Xbox Live and we can chat as we play. The thought has actually occurred to me to get it for both (I know, sounds ridiculous, right?), but since I'm not made of money I chose to go with only one. LOL. :D

Haha, thanks, I needed that! :) I know I'll love it! Really the only games that can get me to buy them say Bethesda on the box xD We need a smiley hugging Bethesda's logo :P

See what I did there? Not bashing the ps3 but I see just as many ps3 gamers flaming the xbox as vice versa.

Not me. It's usually the Xbox crowd. They were also the ones saying PC shouldn't have Ultra graphic settings in Skyrim this morning. Didn't see one PS3 user in the threads agreeing with them.

How extensive are the shadow flickering glitches? They sound annoying and from what I've seen, they look annoying.
