How'd it go? (Provided it's the kinda dream that can be shared on this forum)

Were you adventuring?

I can sleep like a baby.

Same here. I'm no less excited by Skyrim's release for that, though... :)

Lets see if I can remember these right.

Dream #1: Started off at a waterpark, got in a line, line was for an arena, ended with me and my friend getting our asses kicked in a Skyrim-themed arena match. (yeah, dreams are weird)

Dream #2: Started off in a small town, dragon partially destroyed local shop, killed dragon, shopkeeper gave my free stuff (that he kept behind his locked room, inside a locked chest).

Dream #3: Lots of walking. Walk through some towns and the wilderness. Don't really remember more than that.

That's hilarious. I'm going to consciously think of Skyrim while drifting off to sleep, hoepfully my subconscious will pick up on that and feed into my dreams too.

Me too. :sadvaultboy:

Waiting for skyrim. Its not why i cant sleep but.... i don't care about any other games right now. I think I'm going to buy skyrim and play it and only it on and off until the next fallout or elder scrolls comes out.

Someone tweet them asking if they have any hand placed powerful loot. Ill have your babies if we get an answer.

I found that I stopped getting excited for games a long time ago. Life happened, I got a job, don't have enough time to play anymore. The quality of games kind of sagged, and my excitement meter went dead. It was really disappointing. I guess I just got kind of jaded. But then came Skyrim. Seriously, I'm really psyched for this one. Every time I look at the date, I'm kind of disappointed to find Skyrim (seemingly) no closer. I also spend many hours awake cruising the forums. I try to go to bed at a reasonable time (reasoning the more time I spend asleep, the less time I'll be awake waiting) but I always end up spending an hour or three thinking about Skyrim before drifting into dreamless sleep. Maybe Skyrim is just what I needed to get that wake up call and get my mind back into the spirit of being super psyched again. This game is gonna rock!

Why does it seem like 75% of the posters have Insomnia, makes me think. :sadvaultboy: What a world.

It's because of our gaming habit. Over-stimulation of the brain and stuffies.

I can`t sleep at night cause i just had an op on my elbow and it hurts like a [censored] - the result of years of PC gaming and developing Ulnar Neuritis.

Skyrim is one of the few things that actually helps me fall asleep. When i try and imagine walking through the game and how i will play it, i usually doze off about then -_-

Yeah that's kinda weird.. I get made fun of by my friends all the time bc I talk about Skyrim/joke about how psycho I am about it.. but this is genuinely something you might not want to tell people in the real world lol.

When I was just a kid and got my copy of "Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask" it was really hard for me to sleep because I wanted to play the game so badly. :3

I haven't lost any sleep over Skyrim yet, though. I know I will in the days leading up to its release.

Is it weird of me not being able to sleep at night because of the upcoming release of Skyrim? Never have i been looking forward to a game like i am with this one, and im wondering if anyone else share the same problem? I can lay awake for hours, just thinking of every aspect of it.

Thats very weird.

Also, I like you're symetrical typing :goodjob:

Sleepless nights and sore bodies are a gamers curse indeed. Most of us usually get Christmas several times a year depending on the amount of games released, at least to me it always feels like Christmas when I rip the plastic off a new console case or the first pop of the game box opening on a new PC game.
I'm sure lots of us forget to eat or just don't bother, we drive people insane in our lives who don't care about games at all, a bunch take breaks/vacation from work to play a new game.
We complain about clipping, shaders, graphical problems, addition or removal of favorite features and lots of other things alot of people don't care about.
We have PC Elitists, console junkies, cross and multiplatformers. We fight like cats and dogs but in the end we are really alot alike in many ways.
Doesn't that make us sorta like family in a sense?

:foodndrink: Cheers to you all lets hope that Skyrim is what we want or more than some of us expect!

yikes see what lack of sleep does :shocking:

Not really. One can't help what captivates one's imagination.

As for myself, I learned a very important lesson about game anticipation when waiting for Oblivion. A game is going to be a flop or a smashing success no matter how I feel about it. Its not worth the obsessive energy if it flops, and it will be just as exciting if its a hit.

All I am going to say is you guys are setting yourselves up for failure. Nothing is going to live up to that level of expectations. You will find some tiny small flaw with the game that doesn't quite meet your satisfaction and all that built up internal hype is going to come crashing down and the whole game is going to feel like a major disappointment to you.

Wow thats what happened to me with GTA IV.

A "tiny flaw" wouldn't come close to having the game come "crashing down" and feel like a "major dissapointment".

I had a dream last night that I had a "beta test" copy of Skyrim for 360 but my younger brothers wouldn't let me play it because they wanted to play stupid crap like Dragon Age 2.

On a related note, I just had my third dream about Skyrim.

Mine was about Zombies all night it got to the point where it was kinda fun.
I was in the Bayou in Louisianna and I found out Zombies can swim so I found the nearest working boat and started running.

Sleeping hasnt been the problem tho its the hypeness (Skyrimification) thats been the problem.

You could use that awake time to make some frozen dinners and have them ready for popping in the microwave when the game comes out. Or to do some homework reading ahead of time to ensure your studies don't suffer, or to do a bit extra at work so you don't feel bad taking vacation or sick days when it comes out. Do some extra cleaning while your at it too.

And after you have accomplished all of that, you will fall into a heavy sleep when your head hits the pillow the next time. ;)
