Can you build your house where you want(within these three h

Post » Thu Nov 15, 2012 11:05 am

I have been thinking about this.
I know you can build your house either in hjaalmarsch, the pale or the forests of falkreath.
But the question is,Can you build where you want within these holds? I mean, Finding your own unique place and say-Hey! i want to build a house here :D A place where no other has built on. Will it be like that? or is it one place on these holds where you can build?

Also a forum for this? I dont know how it was back in oblivion days but did we have a forum for horse armor, battlehorn castle etc? I think heartfire is a bit misleading, sounds like a major DLC with the name and all.

I think it will just be predetermined plots of land that you can build on.

Probaly only choose where it lies because in the trailer you see some land without trees etc. where you can build a house perfectly i hope you can choose where in the three holds and i hope to to build your house at cities. i hope you can build a house near riverwood or something

It's like the Sims, there's land you buy and you build your house on it.

If you can't have more choice of location than set loactions within three holds, it sort of loses some of the point, doesn't it?

There will hopefully multiple unique plots within the three holds to build on.

I hope that there's at least 3-5 different plots of land per hold you can build your home on. Otherwise it seems rather lackluster design in that regard.

Some characters would choose to live right next to the towns, while others might want to be isolated in the wilderness, either because they hunt or because they perform dark deeds and don't want people snooping around.

I certainly hope this DLC isn't a "One-size fits all" feature regarding locations.

They can't just let you build anywhere. It would allow you to break the game.

Maybe they have different "desirable" locations. So you can build a house near a waterfall but it will cost much more. I personally want a shady misty grove area.

Yeah, at most, each hold with have a small variety of plots of land to buy and build on. But I would say to people, don't get your hopes up. I would not be surprised if there is only 1 plot of land per hold. If this happens, its probably because of strict tech limitations, not because Bethesda wants to hurt your feels.

I'm hoping that each hold will have multiple plots, as I'm really hoping on getting a plot in Falkreath that is near a lake. Though another character would love to have a home in the middle of a forest, out of the way and isolated. If I only get one plot per hold I'll be pretty bummed.

It would be nice to build where I could hear the sound of the sea as the waves come to shore. I think that's only possible in the frozen areas though. :tes:

There's the Pale. You may be able to build a home near the shore there. That would be rather nice.

This probably. I really do want to build my home out in the wilderness it would fit some of my characters better.

...so I can't build in the Reach?

I'm sad now. But then, so are those poor nord orphans I won't be adopting.

Yeah, I'd much rather build my dwemer mansion in the Reach. Alas, I seriously doubt Dwemer architecture is going to be available. I might end up building 3 mansions and still be living in Vlindrel hall :(

I just hope that it is not too far away from Falkreath. Too much of a good RP opportunity for me :ahhh:

This is disappointing. I had planned to build a KFC next to a Taco Bell and revel in the irony of the situation.
