I like the Skaal and enjoy the atmosphere of northern Solstheim over the dreariness of Serevin Manor..

Agreed. I searched every home in the village, and while I don't like any of them, I'd rather live in those than the dull manor. maybe it's the plaques?

I would like to have the option of living with the skaal, but what's everyone problem with the manor? It is different than the boring Nordic houses and has enough storage for all your gear, and better facilities than a lot of towns in Skyrim.

It's just scary going down there. Seriously, the ambience is creepier than most dungeons.

I think you can get married with the skaal woman morwen(wiki says so), after you completed her quest to bring her mothers amulet to falkreath. dont know if you will be able to live in her house.

I'm married to Morwen now (I've always wanted my character to live with the Skaal), and I can confirm that you can live in her house. Although, there's only one single bed...

Plus, she has an archery target with a load of knives embedded in it. Angry, angry young woman.

In the Dwemer ruin beginning with 'F' (sorry, I can't recall the name) there's a corpse of a Skaal woman with gloves, boots, and coat. As for the hat, there are often groups of Skaal hunters, between the farm outside Raven Rock, and Tel Mythrin, who ask for your help killing a netch. If you don't mind letting one of them get killed, you can get the hat too. I would've used them for the complete set, but for some reason whenever I've encountered the hunters they're never wearing the gloves.

Bigger question: Can you marry
Spoiler
Storn's daughter? I want to know because I will start to feel bad for sending her father to get a fat ugly tentacle through the face courtesy of Hemaeus Mora. If we can't marry her I would be content with just having her as a follower.

I put on my amulet of Mara, made the eyes at her, showed her my muscles, but she wasn't going for it. Maybe she has a personal quest you need to do...

Too much open space, it makes it feel very empty. And not a lot of decoration to make it feel warm and homey. I'm glad to have some redoran style back, but...Brrrrr!
If it was just a little tighter in, it'd be perfect.

I would be happy with the manor if there were more lights and it supported families. I guess it was to hard to design the guest room with an extra bed for the kids, but it wasn't to hard to add childrens rooms to the vanilla houses in hearthfire.

I guess I can see where you're coming from, some more of those nice red lanterns would be good, but I really only had a problem with emptiness in the guest room, where Kharjo sleeps instead of Dar'resh.

I wish the Redoran house had blue lanterns. Those were nifty.

Maybe after Maarak is defeated and a respected Skaal Friend they could give you a plot of land to build your own house on and bring the wife and kids...
