It took me a few games to get the hang of it. Since it's brought up right inside of where it is, I played the game and lost about 4 straight (reloaded each time). My record now stands at 4-0 and I haven't had to reload to win a single one of those. When trying to place cards, just remember that you can move your cursor left, or right, as well as up and down, and your caravans need to either Ascend or Descend from 1 card to the next. In order to change the direction, you can play a queen. You can also play any card that's the same suit. (With the exception of the card that's already there. You can never play 1 rank onto a card of the same rank).
Aces just count as 1, nothing special.
Jacks remove the card they are played on along with any attached face cards.
(So if you play a 10, and then a King on top of it making 20, and you play a Jack on the 10, it will remove the 10 and the King)
Queens change the suit/order of the caravan. (So if you were playing smaller cards, i.e. you started with a 6, then played a 3, then an Ace, you can play a queen on the ace to make your caravan ascending so you can continue to play cards)
Kings add a value equal to what it's being played on. So if you've got a 6 with a 9 on top of it and you play the King onto the 9, your total would be 24. Or you could play the King onto the 6 for a total of 21 (Which would be handy if you had a 5 in your had that was the same suit as the 9... since the caravan is ascending you couldn't play a 5 onto the 9 unless the suits matched)
Jokers attached to a number remove all OTHER cards with the same number. So if you've got a single 9 in play and your opponent has 2 or 3 of them, you would play this onto YOUR OWN 9 in order to remove theirs. If you have 2 and they have 2 9's and you play it on one of yours, it will remove both of your opponents, and the 9 of yours that the Joker wasn't played on. (This can come in handy if one of your caravans is over 26... you can then do this to bring it under).
