Interesting.. I've never gotten close to a fox without bashing its brains in!

I tried following and repeatedly got led into ambushes. That's a fox for you!
not as bad as when i found a random chicken walking around in the middle of nowhere in the reach so for some reason i followed it for what seemed like and eternity and you know what the blasted thing lead me into a forsworn ambush must have been a dirty cop.

They do what now??? i have not noticed this.. probably because i ignore them or try shoot stuff at them..
What do they lead you to?

To what ever is nearby that is of interest. It could be an Ore deposit, or a cave entrance or a campsite.

That's a Myth, a Myth I say.

I used to think that until I followed a few of them. They always take me to something eventually. The other night, I had difficulties finding the entrance to a dungeon. It was the issue of finding the right way up the mountain that we are all familiar with. Well, on the way to my first failed attempt, a fox ran by me, but I ignored it. So, while I was backtracking, the fox was sitting there waiting for me. I followed him this time and he took me on the correct path to the place I was trying to find.

Granted, that something they take me to may not be of any use, and their pathing is not always spot on, just like any NPC in this game, but it almost always worth it to follow a fox.

Heh, this happened to me yesterday while following a fox as an alternative to my customary falling death down the side of a mountain. The fox was waiting like there was something special there... waiting, waiting... for the rock in front of him to move out of the way? Oh! [nudge fox] Fixed!

I think it is great that my characters daughter got herself a pet fox.. but the damn thing sounds like it it needs a respirator. It creeps me out when I'm walking around my house and all of a sudden I can hear it behind me wheezing..
Has anyone else experienced the darth vader fox?

We may have to wait a bit longer, but this is yet one more reason to play on PC. Something you don't like about the game? Change it.

OK, now I can say yes....Lucia says 'look Mama, I have a new friend'. I couldn't say no, especially since I've said no to mudcrabs twice now. Maybe I should have waited for the skeever in the cellar.... It breathes terribly.

edit: reloading, if the fox is there again, maybe I'll let her keep it. Maybe....

2nd edit: came home again, no pet....wasn't meant to be! yet....

i too can also confirm the fox following myth. i didnt believe it myself at irst by my husband swore by it and it usually led him to something of some interest. he also spent a while following goats around, but that usually led him into an attack of some kind. i think those goats have a deathwish!
