Collections of... Junk?

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 9:34 am

One thing I miss collecting is lamps and lights form morrowind, they actually had there own light source and lit up the room.

I'm with you there. I was disappointed that we couldn't pick up any of the lamps or torches we came across... I morrowind, I would collect so many that my house would be full, and I'd be setting them all over the outside of the house too.... You could see my stronghold from the edge of thedraw limit, a glowing landmark.

Depends on what's in the game.
But seeing as Alchemy is making it's way to fallout I'm probably going to collect every single ingredient I come across.

Armor, Weapons and Npcs for me :D I went around keeping all the good armor and weapons. That coupled with my repair skill, I had one powerful arsenal fit for an army! Then I collected all the wastelanders, hunters, beggars even had an enclave soldier who helped me get out of president Edens fortress lol. I outfitted my army with my loot and now I have the largest and most powerful army in the waste! One thing I miss collecting is lamps and lights form morrowind, they actually had there own light source and lit up the room.

Enclave deserter.

I'm really hoping for some more shelf space, display cases etc. And a much bigger place. Something like Summerset? Manor in Oblivion. That house took a while to load with all my treasure.

I liked to make my character a dirty drunk. I would set up a full bar of Vodka, Whiskey, and glasses. No beer though because my character was a classy drunk. I did do a pyramid of Nuka Cola too. Money stacks was also fun. The Intact Garden Gnomes guarding the door were kind of creepy. Probably the scariest thing that ever happened in the game was when my gnomes somehow turned around towards me while I wasn't looking. I have no idea how it happened.

I remember trying to place nuka-colas about the house but most of them just fell and rolled around the place. <_<

But I also remember around the end on one of my playthroughs when I had everything I needed I would make piles of weapons in my house.
I tried putting mines around there but lets just say my butler died

I will most certainly be up to my hoarding antics in Vegas too. I had a weapon stash that would give the Brotherhood a steady loadout for the next two games Bethesda produces.

on my workbench I set up the wasteland survival guide, my lump of brain, and a pint-sized slasher mask... I have 1 of each power armor variants that I could find occupying the shelves... a couple hundred Nuka-Colas in the machine... a massive assortment of Vault outfits, weapons crafting components and who knows what else in there. cant wait to see what I can do with my New Vegas home

I forgot I had a collection of Nuka Cola Quantum in my tenpenny house. I took everything out of my bookshelf and would put the quantum in on it's side in rows. It looked really neat. If I find the pics I will definitely show them. I will be doing that in new Vegas. I remember watching my mom play and she just had stuff on the floor of her house. I have no idea how she found anything.

I'll probably hoard all the gore I can find. I remember on one of my playthroughs I place mines and grenades all over my house, like mountains of them. Then I went and pissed off every person in megaton and ran in my house. Boom the second they all walked in the entire place was covered in body parts. I mean every single inch, a hand here there, even parts of Fawkes lol...he wasn't suppose to be there. Other than that I'll just have tons of armor and weapons set up around the place oh and pool sticks... had a ton of them lol.

I love intact garden gnomes. If they're still around I'm grabbing all I can find. I'll also keep a look out for alternate size objects. Those are always fun.

I'm looking forward to seeing new junk though. I heard there's duct tape. I'm definitely keeping a bunch of that around any place I set up shop. Never know what you might need duct tape for.

I will definitely be hoarding things, and I have a feeling that my first mod will be to expand the available containers in the house of my choice so I can sort everything.

While I do not decorate my bases (I'm a utilitarian sort), I do collect ridiculous quantities of custom item parts and items for fetch quests, as well as hoarding ammunition whether I will use it or not (I deliberately do not sell items for cash). I only sell weapons and armor that are at full condition, so I will have a locker full of the stuff awaiting repair until such time as my repair is maxed.

On my first Broken Steel play-through I decided to see how much Aqua Pura I could amass (the crates respawn in most cases), and by the time I stopped playing that character I had over 2200 of them in a locker. Had I put them on display, about half of my small bunker would have been completely filled and the hallway impassable. Said character also had enough ammunition to supply the BoS for about 100 years.

Yeah I hoarded all the ammo too, I didn't use Flame Throwers but I still had over 5000 Flamer fuel. Hey... this is the wasteland why wouldn't you hoard ammo? :D

She use the same skills that allow her perfect recall of how far under your bed that red striped sock is that you lost last month.

since I plan to play with hardcoe mode and thus have to take account food, water and ammo and other tid bits, I don′t think I will carry much junk, maybe pre war money if it has the same sweet weight/value ratio it had in Fallout 3, and any other items I have found a "I pay cash for that" deal.

In F3 I used to leave everything randomly on the floor but then as soon as I heard of house arranging I went to the trouble (With these physics it's trouble) of sorting all unique stuff I had and symbolic stuff also.

In Fallout:NV I plan to collect symbolic things and hopefully have a room or another building for weapons. I plan on making/robbing a lot of money and having a full survival room with enough bottled water and food to last another apocalypse.
