Before the game release, there were some guys playing on XBOX and some of them mentioned, that one can marry her after certain stage in the main quest. No idea if this is true.

I wanted to marry her, but got sick of waiting and I am a melee guy, so I married instead Aela the Huntress. She shoots from a far, I slash with sword, one happy family.

Anybody know how to marry Erik the Slayer? I've done his quest where I gave money for his armour, then hired him out. I get NO options for marriage.... however, I do get the options when I talk to other people who I can marry (yes I have the amulet).

Argis and Calder - you need to get the houses in their respective cities and then become Thane. Then you get Argis as your housecarl in Markarth and Calder in Hjierim.

Do you have to be in the Companions to marry Aela?

I think what Spindle means by "that's all" is that only about eight of the ten races are actually represented, with no Khajiit or Wood Elf NPC's to marry. At least my character has at least one option in terms of same race, but not quite enough. There is also always the option of trans-racial (and even trans-species) relationships, though, but marriage would definitely be a bit awkward in the case of the Khajiit. Perhaps this is an issue that might get resolved as part of the "improve the game while keeping it substantial" DLC expansions they've been talking about.

Edit: Just noticed you can't marry a male Redguard or a male High Elf either. There doesn't seem to be any races listed under "Male" that aren't present under "Female," however.
