My PC copy is sent

Post » Mon May 07, 2012 3:46 am

Where did you pre-order the game from? I have checked today from Verkkokauppa.com and it says that it's waiting for DVD copies.
I ordered it from cdon.com because it was cheapest on it (35€). Game was shipped today.

Oh look, another store breaking the street date. Lucky for them Steam prevents PC copies from being played until 11/11/11. Still, I hope Bethesda is taking note, so next release said stores are left in the cold!

Look at it this way - since steam does prevent people from playing early its not really hurting anything, and all stores should be allowed to sell 1 day early. Give me time to read the manual.

Was referring more to the console versions to be honest, they have no such restriction. Doesn't bother me, but surely release dates should apply to everyone?

So, you can afford a £30 to £40 game, but one day shipping is too much? Wow, must be hard living off bread crumbs like that!
I don't think choosing standard shipping to save money, especially in this economy is being cheap

it's not a hard concept to grasp. not everyone wants to spend an extra 20 bucks for super fast shipping so they chose the standard, amazon ships early and its the same as choosing 1 day shipping

About the steam activation I'm wondering is it your local time 00:00 when you can activate the game or are you needed to wait until the time is 00:00 in U.S.A ?

Where did you guys preorder?
I preordered at amazon.de (Germany) and it just says it the shipping date will likely be the 10th november. I hope not, that the 10th november could mean it doesn't get here soon enough and maybe deliverd at saturday or even worse oO
Don't make me cry :cryvaultboy:

Amazon Dates are when it ARRIVES at your place, not when it is send to you.

/facepalm

You do realize that many retailers actually ship it BEFORE the release date. Amazon always does this for release date shipping.

Yup.
Thus Amazon can guarantee the "Day-One-Edition" will arrive at your place at Day One, just as they promise.

BTW. I just discovered something. When I log into Steam it's says that the game will unlock in approximately 2 days and 3 hours. Now, the local time here in Sweden are 22:24 right now when I'am writing this. So does this mean that it will unlock at 02:00 here in Sweden?! Not 00:01 that is said?

Because it is a GMT launch. Which makes 00:01 2 hours later than your time.

I think so. I live in Finland and according to Steam, Skyrim will unlock 02:00 AM here too.

I don't think my PC version will be delayed as all I need to do is log in to Steam at 12AM Friday and start DL it. :)

WTF, no one is breaking a date as long as steam works as the [censored] seal. If the release date is past midninght through a thursday evening the store would need to provide the damn copy in our mail box thursday morning, you know, with the mail.

Not bitter, just saying, retailers should be abiding by the dates set by the developer/publisher, that's all. I can wait 3 days, doesn't bother me, have to work anyway.

PC copies yes, but console editions can be played NOW. That is indeed breaking the street date. In any case, you don't need to ship a game on the 8th, for it to arrive on the 11th, there is after all such a thing as 'next day' delivery.

get over it, sonnnnn!!!

Not looking to rub salt in any wounds but my copy was sent out today from Shopto and should arrive tomorrow morning via courier service. I thought it would probably arrive Thurs, but they sent it out a day earlier than they normally do with pre orders, I guess they have a back log to work through.

This forum is so full of nazis like you that go insane about the 'blasphemy' of a slightly early release of a game.

OMG Skyrim pirated a WEEK early?! LYNCH THEM ALL!

Amazon US won't be updating when the game actually shipped till 11/11/11. They usually do that, but other have told me that they've always got their games on release date, with said shipping.

I did pick the option to get it on the same day of release. So, I'll be disappointed if I don't :(. Because then I'll have to wait until Monday.

Shipping out copies now is not breaking street date, they send them out early for those that have Release Day Delivery. That way, they get their copy on release day. Next time do a little research before blindly assuming.

Sorry to be "that guy" but why are you one of "those guys" who colors every single one of their posts? It doesn't make you cool or anything like that....
