I think the biggest game would probably be something like LBPlanet, or Mine-craft.
Or Pac-man.
If you mean for a game that is defined by linear objectives, without a creation functionality, then yes.
This may be the largest game ever made, that isn't repetitive.
Oblivion is still probably bigger, but Oblivion is EXTREMELY repetitive and slow.
So all in all...No.

Oblivion doesn't have ANYWHERE NEAR the ammount of weapons F:NV is going to have.

Look at all the features vegas has:
-Harcore
-Weapon Mods
-Crafting
-Reputation
- Etc etc etc

Numerous Quests

Eye Candy

Etc

This game is massive.

So you mean biggest by content? How would one quantifiy that? Count up the individual item ids?

I seriously doubt this game will top Oblivion content-wise.
Oblivion has about 300 long, and repititive, areas. 30 minute long dungeons that end with nothing.
The map in Oblivion is larger.
There are more quests in Oblivion.
I don't think F:NV has more weapons by much.
Oblivion has weapon modding too, in the form of magic.
I just don't see it happening...
This will be better than Oblivion, but not quite as large.
I only spent 60 hours in Oblivion though, and 120 in F3. Only reason I stopped playing F3 was because I heard about New Vegas.

Surely the biggest game in terms of content (if by that you mean quests) would be the ones which are always being added to (like WoW)? But then, I suppose if you factor in mods it might have legs. Hard to judge, really.

No it won't be the biggest game in any context, however that dosn't stop it being a good game you can enjoy playing.

I love how no one ever responds to my posts.
Lbplanet is bigger than WoW, because WoW has a finite amount of quests, LBP levels are posted every minute of every day.
More levels in LBP than quests in WoW.

Little Big Planet?
Uh-huh. That game has a lot of custom content right?
User made levels?
Well.
Those aren't official.
So they aren't taken into consideration.
If we go like that then I'd say Starcraft or Warcraft 2 is bigger because those games has alooooooooooooooooooooooooooot of user-created maps.
Or how about CS? That game has an unbelievable amount of custom content. (for such a limited game)

So user created is not to be taken into consideration.

LBP isnt actually that huge as a vanilla game though is it...

where as WoW is massive.

and as for amount of people playing, WoW is MUCH bigger then LBP...

People who have bought each game....... WoW > LBP,... so in sales, WoW wins again.

[Would just like to add that i find WoW incredibly boring, and actually don't mind LBP, but you can't pretend that LBP is bigger then WoW]

Why is WoW so popular anyway?

I actually did TWO trials of the game and found it totally boring. Graphics are cartoonish, combat looks [censored], and there really isn't a story. Yeah there's a story of sorts but it's like something for 5 yr olds.

The whole thing seems gimmicky too. I remmeber one of my friends who tried to get me hooked on it was like: "See I got this snowman that can dance" I was like:

It's fun.
I have no idea how people can play such crap as Call Of Duty but I understand that my perspective of fun is different from others.
Can't explain why I like wow but I just do. :)
Just don't expect someone to explain "fun".
