He is showing massive -insert term for "hardcoe fan" here-, and conspiracy theories just because there is a beta on the 11th, its like saying Veterans Day in America is on the 11th because the government wants us to not be able to play Skyrim.
I also just got a beta invite for the this weekend starting the 11th and thought it was a bit coincidental. I will, however, check out the beta for free. I already bought Skyrim (of course!) and know I will want to play that, while I'm not sure if I will like TOR or not, so am glad to have the opportunity. Don't worry, I won't let it steal away much of my Skyrim time
So you registered for the SWTOR beta and now you're being a really devoted fan jock playing teams? They've been having beta invites for the weekends off and on for a few months now, just not the last 3 weeks. AND YOU registered to be on the list if you got that email.

:/
pro tip - the OP is being playful, as in, not serious, as in, he doesn't actually believe that
the proper response is another playful one rather than aggressiveness
When Guild Wars 2 was scheduled for a major press release and first preview of the game's footage, WoW decided to drop the bomb cataclysm was being developed the exact same day. Nobody paid a bit of attention to GW2 as it'd turn out. (Though over time people've wised up to Blizzard's ways and GW2 is becoming an eagerly anticipated game in it's own right)
Ah, but that's where you're wrong, he was being 100% for realsies.
Of course the OP was being "for realsies" He was stating that because it was on the 11th, he would be busy playing skyrim, I can also see the point of view that it would seem like a coincidence. But like someone said, haters gonna hate.
edit: So in summary, I do believe he is a "real fan"
The SWTOR beta invites have been floating around for a while now. They are only short duration though. I know if I get a Diablo III or other invite over the next few weeks I'll most likely be letting them slide.
SWTOR will be fun simply because of the sheer amount of subs it will have i.e. friends
but aside from the voice acting, from what i understand (the told me)
It's basically paying $15 a month for an old republic game that has multiplayer and longer grinds
Seems like the variety in char types is pretty large too. Id like to try it out, but, like I said, I'm already paying for dcuo. I do like the idea of being a bounty hunter though... Anybody know if you'll be able to get mandalorian armor?
