Cross Platform Multiplayer?

Meh, consoles obviously win, they have infinityspin! we only have our mousemats to move on :P

They could add the option to play crossplatform so that the console players can decide :P

this would be awesome just for the purpose of having more players, it would work great as a seperate game type.

Thanx everyone for insight so far, seems like most people think this would be cool and I like how at least most of the system "dike measuring " has been kept to a minimum, but I love the new MP footage that has come out, and it is on PC to help all of you PC gamers sleep at night

I play PC and Xbox 360, and i would personally love crossplatform play, it would allow me to buy the game on PC AND play with my friends on 360. Possibly they could do a force gamepads option on PC during crossplatform matches to make it fair, like the option in Crysis. Also, they could include an option that lets Players choose which platforms they would like to play with. I don't know if this is possible, but maybe the consoles could even register with gamespy in game, so that there would be no multiple usernames and communication would be possible.

Crossplatform play would just be another thing that would set Crysis 2 apart from the crowd, I think it could possibly make it the premier FPS of 2010-11

Crossplatform is a joke, PC players have a couple of advantages, 1: faster systems, 2: Keyboard and mouse, 3: Skill.

your first point is true, second point is respectable, keyboard and mouse do have a slight advantage over controllers, but then you third point makes me lose respect for you. Seriously why does everyone (not just PC gamers or Console gamers but everyone) have to whip out there **** (sorry had to say it) and the tape measure and say they are better, co-exist people!

is the ps3 is never going to have crossplatform-MP simply because microsoft has no motivation whatsoever to allow it. pc-360 MP exists in shadowrun, its possible but hard to balance. you would have to restrict the crossplatform matches to 360 gamepads and specific visual settings on PC in some games (draw distance for sniping for example).
if crysis 2 featured it crytek and EA would hype it ever since the game was first announced, the fact that they didnt is basically a definitive no.

Whilst I cannot confirm or deny at this stage that we do not have Cross-Platform play, it is extremely unlikely that we will ship Crysis 2 with this feature.

The only way it could be cross platform was if Crysis had GFWL instead of STEAM ...im sure not many people would like Crysis with GFWL

I actually don't know if I would like that if the game did have it... I used to play console games online (MW2, BC2 etc.) and people are so immature. PC has the same problem, but a lot less than consoles.
