Crysis 2 multiplayer lack everything that was best in Crysis

Post » Fri Jun 18, 2010 5:43 am

Fully agree with you Tobiasz931, they cut everything out which was fun in Crysis in Crysis wars, and copied some crap out of COD MW2.
Where are the large maps of Crysis ? Where are vehicle? Customizable wapons?Where ist the Suitmode?Max Speed, Strength etc
I dont see a Nanosuit 2.0- I see a Nansouit 0.2 :(
I hope they change this in release version^^

We'll just have to see what the other MP modes are. Power struggle was only fun when you were in a full room without noobs (when this was achieved the mode was very fun). Most of the time it was an imbalanced team of 3 vs. 2 guys on a gigantic map.

Hopefully they will include a refined version of power struggle in Crysis 2.

I don't have a problem with the ranking and upgrading system as long as it is fair, balanced, and actually makes sense. I too have been discouraged by the ranking system of other games...I play it till I get it all then stop playing. However, the game play was bland to begin with and had it not been for the ranking I would have stopped much quicker. So, theoretically if the game play is good a ranking system shouldn't ruin the game if it is balanced properly.

No wonder so many people didn't like C1 or wars....everyone joined half full servers with mesa beach and shore. Those are only fun if the server is full...and you enjoy vehicle warfare.

There are plenty of smaller stock PS maps (Refinery, Training, Desolation, Frost, and Plantation) plus several dozen custom PS maps, but nobody plays them because...well everyone just plays mesa. I think some people failed to realize that there are two very distinct genres within crysis multiplayer. Vehicle based maps and Infantry based maps divide the game up pretty distinctly. Most skilled players stick with the Infantry based maps unless there is no one to play with.

Crysis/wars is definetly the most unique and best multiplayer I have ever played, though I also like cod 4 promod for the competitiveness. The suit modes, strafing, and the laser make the game extremely fun and unique. You must focus on perfecting each for gun fights and perfecting each is what it takes the be great. No other game is as dynamic as crysis, others are mostly point and click shooters. There is no word to describe how superior crysis is or how inferior every other game is.

Well if ranking is done correctly then only the best of the best should reach full level. I think Far Cry 2 has a perfect level system. Only the best of the best reach full rank, and I hope it is the same way for Crysis 2.

I totally agree with Laz0r and CygonCoors. Its strange why more ppl play Mesa than other maps. Mesa could be fun but only if its balanced, but most of the time its not and then its boring. Smaller maps are usually fun to play. Because of this im happy to see smaller, non vehicle maps in C2, but that was only 1 mode on the video, so there might be vehicle fun in other made for vehicles modes I guess.
Talon95 what do you mean, only the best should reach full level? No-lifers? (I didnt play Far Cry 2 as its not Crytek's anymore :P) I dont think its good... If you mean like in BFBC2 when you have everything unlocked after ~24lvl and you still have 36 ranks to go, thats ok, why not? But no-lifers having imba weapons - NO.
I cant decide which one is better - C1 or Wars... Now I play Wars, but when I read what you said I remember that I had probably more fun playing Crysis 1. Maybe because I played with EC clan and it was my 1st experience in so awesome multiplayer (before I played F.E.A.R. Combat, well it was awesome until Crysis came out). Both games have some pros and cons comparing to each other and pros for me could be cons for other players...

PS:
WE NEED MOAR MULTIPLAYER MATERIAL:

Dude, the map isnt big because it's **** IA, do you remember the IA maps in crysis being huge? No, they were alot smaller compared to the PS maps. You haven't even seen all the maps yet. Give it a chance.
