i agree with this idea, more variety in gamemodes the better. I would like to be able to practice fighting enemies that keep coming, something like the firefight mode in halo odst. Having the choice to play this sort of gamemode offline and onlne with others would also be good.

This would actually be very cool. Possibly something they could include in the SP part.... unless they wanted to make it Multiplayer too.....

I think there are some bots created by modders or something.
Have you searched for something like that?
I remember when Counter Strike came out, the community soon released some selfmade bots for it.

In my opinion this would be great because like Reiger i have a laggy connection so this is a good solution to play offline or LAN against AI enemies

playing against bots offline would be good practice (but only to a certain extent). Online players are a lot different to bots...

Hi guys, at this stage, we cannot confirm or deny the possibility of having bots in an Offline mode or if at all this mode exists.

More information as we have it.

I wouldn't get your hopes up for it.

Bots could go either way...

AI Bots are very much a thing of the past. Back in the old days when shooters [and level design] were much more simple, it was much easier to get bots to work but these days there's so much more involved in shooters and to program bots for it would need an entire studio dedicated to it. It's too much work to include bots these days because games are so much more complex these days.

I'd have to agree completely.

There's also the intelegence of the bots x the number of them,
and what current platforms can handle to consider.
Since Crysis2 is on consoles, and with the graphcis and "claimed advanced A.I", I think it's safe to assume the amount of bots possible would only be minor, even in single-player.

I think it's safe to assume that IF there is an editor, it probley wouldn't have bot support - atleast not on consoles.
And the chance of an offline skirmish-type would be low aswell.

Bots would be great. Unfortunanely their priorities lay in Online Play.
