Just stay patient for this part, it did clearly say "This tech test is limited to Xbox 360 consoles only this time around".

Just wait for the Pc Testers turn.

Speaking of Crying.... why in the world would you not own a 360 at this point? Are you people afraid it will stain your hands, maybe you'll like it and your PC will hate you for it and kill its self. I know you spent $600 on that brand new killer GPU and you can't seem to find $200 left over for an entire system... thats got to be it!
uh, yeah? why would we waste $200 bucks on a 360 when we could spend it on better parts for a better PC? as far as I'm concerned $200 for a 360 is $200 down the drain.
And as far as I'm concerned, paying monthly bills for internet just to have to pay a subscription for Xbox Live to utilize any connection is a complete waste of money. Xbox Live is the exact reason I bought a Playstation 3 instead, because atleast I'm not getting ripped off every month.
I did something similar to that, back when xbox was still "in".
Hated xbx live, the monthly thing was an obvious scam.

I've been waiting for this game for years, and now after all the **** Crytek has thrown at us (360 betas, 6v6 multiplayer, no vehicles...) I'm not sure if I even want the game anymore. I'm sick of getting shafted over and over watching the sequel to one of my favourite games degrade into a miserable console game. And barely a word from Crytek...

AND WHAT THE F**K IS UP WITH THIS WEBSITE???

Since there seems to be some confusion in here i'll try to clear it up a little.

This is an Xbox 360 test, not a beta. And the reason it's on Xbox 360 is because that's what we're testing, it would not do us much good to perform this on PC. If there are future events such as a beta you can be sure there'd be a lot more promotion and info on it that a request for help with a tech test :)

I think that Crysis already established extremely well as a game in the pc-community, but now its time for consoles.

Crysis could set the bar in terms of graphics and gameplay really high for other games. What i saw from the game on the consoles was amazing till now.

I got the invitiation too and my xbox 360 elite is waiting for this baby!

Crysis could be the next halo/cod/moh on the consoles. They will kick some a$$es on the consoles.

All pc gamers should chill out, because they wont forget you!

Hey, maybe, there will be a PC BETA? I mean, I don't really play PC games much, but I know that PC gamers are some of the most dedicated gamers out there and actually BETA test the game and report issues, as they have a personal love for gaming and have a realtionship with the developers, in terms of marketing, so it is hard to see why they wouldn't release one for the PC, but who knows? Anything can happen.

Well what can I say, another digruntled gamer that is not happy, and presumes they know where Crytek went wrong and also what they should have done to prevent a mob revolt.

Look, I am a Pc gamer
I was sent the email invite to the Beta,
Clearly I cannot use this invite
and this is not a problem to me.

But what I do know is Crytek DO know what they are doing, and no one single player should presume that the entire gaming poulation feels as they do.

I am pefectly fine with what this Beta is all about, and I am quite happy for those who have been lucky enough to get to participate, this Beta is in no way "try it, if you like it buy it", it is part of the development of a great game.

please dont be so presumptious, show a little patience and goodwill

I have a high end gaming PC, an Xbox 360 and a PS3 so all my bases are covered. I can however see why the PC community would be annoyed. As it is they who have already invested in the series with hard cash shouldn't they have preference for a beta?

Thank you CryTek!

That seems to have cleared things up a bit. However, there is the point of people who don't own a 360 still getting these. Is there anyway we can run this test on the PS3? I REALLY want to test this game, but no one that lives near by owns a Xbox 360.

And, just to calm things down

I might stab the lot of you.
I was thinking the exact same thing. All these PC owners without a 360 getting into the Beta is killing me
You think the PC gamers are any more thrilled than you guys? Were definitely not. Were probably even more mad that our series is now dedicating 90% of its gameplay to your **** console.

Wouldn't it make sense to try testing it on both?

Yeah, come on, Crysis is and always will be best on PC. That's the nature of shooters. Better graphics, more precise controls, more buttons for more capabilities.

And seriously, even though the XBOX 360 is popular, it's also the oldest of them all, (unless you own a very old PC), it has the worst graphics.

I only own a PC, and I don't want an XBOX or a Playstation of any sorts, unless they become better in both graphics, and gaming precision, than a high end PC.

Crysis is ment for the PC, and it always has been. So why is Crysis 2 all about the XBOX? It doesn't make sense to me. And it can't possibly be because they didn't want to leak too much story of the game, since it's only multiplayer.

So far, this game is looking worse and worse. It's becoming a clone of Modern Warfare 2, and it's for XBOX 360, (not exclusely, but they seem to focus on the XBOX, based on all the gameplay footage being on XBOX 360).

It is also worth noting we wanted to invite our community members (you guys!) to help us. The mail you received is not an invite to the test itself, it's merely saying we are testing, it's on Xbox 360 and we would like you to help us if you can.

If you do not have an Xbox 360 then you shouldn't sign up - this was made clear in the mail.

I can wait for a beta as long as its good. But lets not make Crysis 2 a repeat of so many other games that are optimized on x360 and but svck on Ps3. Instead make it the best on PC and PS3...... unleash the real power of the platforms....anyways, let us start testing it soon so we can give feedback on the game as soon as possible

OK Someone got it wrong. I think you need to look at consoles differents. PS3 and PC servers are hosted by crytek itself, but XBOX 360 are hosted by MS. So it is normal that they wanna test servers with public.

They are testing the 360 version, that's obvious, but did you not think of the fact that PC and ps3 might not be ready for testing yet?

man if you want the beta if you love Crytek games
than buy xbox 360
cuz beta is exclusive to the 360
and Crytek announcement game exclusive to xbox 360 at e3 2010

so xbox all the way and the best place to play

It's been a while but when we signed up for it did they even ask us what system we were to be using? I have no idea why I would get a 360 invite when I don't own one. I have a PC and a PS3. My son has a 360 but there is no way in hell I am going to get a Gold membership for the 360 just to play a beta.

I'm hoping that this isn't a sign that it is to be a 360 title that is ported.

Can`t people not stop asking for codes? WE testers haven`t got any codes yet. Just a mail which saying that we are in the test. So the test will hopefully start soon.
