Posted July 27th.

"Via a post on his Twitter page, Vice President of Public Relations and Marketing at Bethesda, Pete Hines, cites there is no current plants to release Skyrim: Dawnguard on Playstation 3 or PC."

They lock every thread on this topic or even remotely near this topic because it is Public Outcry, and they think they can silence by locking threads, but all that does is add fuel to the fire of resentment
aimed at Bethesda and Forum's associated to them.

A simple statement from Bethesda about what is going on would resolve much of the flaming and down right hate aimed at Bethesda, Not issuing a public statement and to continue to lock every Dawnguard related
topic (which I did read a view and some of them had no foul language or uncivil postings in them, while most of them do they just lock all of them) which is a terrible strategy to use when dealing with a mod, which
the forum group has become, an unruly mob focus on their anger at Bethesda.

I am disappointed in the lack of info and the info that was given out in tid bits on Twitter should only be used in example situations of what not to say to an angry mob. IE my quote above.

You can't control a mob by telling them to be quite, it only makes them get louder. you have to sympathize with the issue, explain it in a calm rational manner, give options for positive releases of the aggression. Its basic skills
person who has ever been in a job that required People Skills when dealing with drunk, hostile or mentally handicap people.

What are the requirements exactly to be a moderator?

They are not locking threads for no reason. People have been getting out of hand with the attitude they are showing and the messages they are posting. Mods have no option but to lock them as entire threads devolve in to a hissy fit rant by some people who wont stick to the forums rules.

Also your quote is highly innacurate and is not what was said on twitter. It only further goes to show that people are not actually listening/reading whats being said and instead making up extra bits to go along with it.

What Hines said, I actually quote his twitter ;

“We have not announced Dawnguard for any other platform, nor given a timeline for any such news.”

Thats it. He did not say there was no plans to release it. Its in clear black and white that all he said is there is no announcement nor timeline given. Why did he say this? Because sites like IGN were falsely reporting that the DLC was soon to be released in the coming days. And again as shown by the quote of yours they are deliberately stoking up the issue with hyperbolic and completely innacurate information to get people to come to their sites. If IGN and other sites didnt deliberately try and stoke up tensions between customers and developers to "sell" its advertising on their sites there would be on need for rebuttle statements like this that can cause further added tension.

Hello everybody,
Bethesda you did it. If I were Microsoft, i would like to have my money back. MS payed a lot of money for having Dawnguard exclusive for the xbox. Now, after the 30 days of exclusivity....... it's exclusive at all. Indeed that`s still an advantage for Microsoft, but If they had known Bethesda releases the dlc later on PC and PS3 anyway, they'd better saved their money.

(I can't say this often enough, excuse my bad bavarian english style  )

I honestly couldn't care less. The PC has quite a few mods that are better than Dawnguard entirely. I wasn't impressed with Dawnguard when I played it on the 360, so I doubt I'll be impressed with it on the PC. I will be impressed with what modders will do with Dawnguard though. They'll probably turn it into an actual fun dlc.

You are right, mods probably will make dawnguard more interesting. The only thing that's very annoying to me is the lack of Information. I think they are treating us like fools, because i can't imagine that they don't know anything about the release. That's what we've been told, that they know nothing... HELLO these guys are the developers and they don't know ? Maybe little babies would believe this fairytail but we are advlt customers.
That's it for me now, i got to go play with myself.

This is my theory for the lack of info:

- This version of Dawnguard is going to be based around 1.7. Since its in beta on the PC, and not even released yet for the PS3, that means it could take a while.

- Advertisemant. Can't sell a product well if people don't know about it right? The exclusivity deal almost certainly had a non-disclosure agreement in it for other platforms. With the above point in mind, I have no doubt that you will see advertisemants as soon as they see feedback from the patch beta.

Found a great video. http://www.joystiq.com/2012/06/06/bethesdas-todd-howard-on-dawnguard-the-future-of-skyrim-and-s/
Todd Howard himself said: "There's this weird line between – if you do DLC too early everyone's pissed off. We have found, if you wait too long, they're pissed off"
Hu Hu Hu Hu Hu
Well, if they found out why changed anything yet ?

Dawnguard will cost $20, 30% of the game's list price. The game offers at least 150 hours fo solid gameplay, Dawnguard maybe 10 hours at max (6-7% compared). I'd call that extremely expensive content and hours.

Plus, it should've been released 4-5 months ago (Fallout 3 had 4 add-ons in this time, 5th on its way), and now they cant compile and convert it to PC? WTH? Is it really so hard to make a working PC version of the content? Arent those people supposed to be professionals, so they could've anticipated this long ago and make it right? The game was released 8 months ago. Are these professionals unable to make a small DLC in that time? Maybe theres only one guy sitting there, 24/7, alone, in the dark, crying and trying. There are huge mods made by the community, and Bethesda can not produce one DLC in 8 months? They should've hired some true professionals from the community to make the work in timely manner.

Im not going to buy Dawnguard if its not out within 3-4 weeks, since Borderlands 2 is coming out at the end of September, and few weeks is not enough for me to play Dawnguard comprehensively and make videos of it..

It offers more then 6-7 hours of play. It's about 8 and a half hours if you skip all speaking, never die, dont do all the side quests and do none of the radiant quests or explore the new arears beyond whats necessary to complete it.

Anyone know where the hidden treasure caches blocked by the Dawnguard seal are? The way they were mentioned in the game makes no sense for them not to exist.

There's no need to have a General Dawnguard thread in the General Dawnguard forum. It doesn't really serve any purpose.

If you want to discuss the Dawnguard release date there's already a thread about it, and if you have any question make a thread about that question.
