Dawnguard Pricing [merged similar topics]

I know im going to catch a lot of hate for this but i dont think dawngaurd should have cost 20$. I expected a lot more content then what we got. dont get me wrong the story was alright but i still liked the thieves guild story the most. And the crossbow is horriable, actually the only new weapon i absolutely love is the drogonbone bow, that bow is sick. maybe dawngaurd will grow on me but as far as im concerned this dlc drop wasnt worth 20$. Kind of wish i would have saved my money and put it towards borderlands 2. hopefully other skyrim dlc will add more races or armor and maybe even raise the level cap. but these are just my opinions,

I thought it was well worth it. I love my vampire castle, getting ambushed by noobish dawnguard, and dealing with vampire attacks in local cities.

Add more races? this isn't world of warcraft, its elder scrolls. you've got some guts making suggestions like that on the most hardcoe forum on the internet :flamethrower:

It's good and 20 $ isn't much to pay besides as for content it's pretty much for a dlc.

More races isn't really likely, as it would probably break the TES lore. A level cap raise isn't likely either, as the levels depend on the skills and the skills won't go higher than 100.

They 'could' add snow elves but that would break the way they do their DLC, its an addition to the game that you can keep playing with youre character, new advetures new places ect.

Haha agreed and how could the theives guild possibly be the best. Dealing with the nuicance that was mercer frey was worse than the let down that horse armor was.

Quit your [censored]ing. It cost me $50 to buy the 3000 point card I needed to buy Dawnguard, as they don't sell 1600 point cards and I can't buy things online.

I don't know why some people are complaining about this dlc.

I really like it and think it was worth 1600 ms points.

Are there things in it that i would've liked to have seen implemented better? Yes. But overall It is a great add-on.

First off, your opinion to me is void because you don't seem to be a recurring Elder Scrolls fan since you would realize from previous DLC (cough cough Oblivion cough cough), that Dawnguard is well worth $20. Second, just think about how you spend your money on other things, a 2-3 hour movie costs almost half of DG, and yet for Dawnguard you are potentially getting around 20-30 Gameplay hours.....Now if you choose not to play both sides of the DLC, you can't complain because you should've done your research. Other than that, it seems that actually most people have enjoyed Dawnguard so far, I have yet to really see someone bash it for being bad or anything....

always remember that...Dawnguard dlc alone is bigger than ALOT of whole games...So it is worth the dough IMO.

^yeah supposedly the content of Dawnguard, like 30 hours or so (granted if you do EVERYTHING)....is longer than Bethesda's upcoming game Dishonored....now that's saying something

I would happily pay $20 just to smash vampires in the face with my Smashy board. It never gets old!
Yes I know I have some deeper suppressed issues, but therapy cost $, and smashing sparkly vampires is so much fun!

Don't forget setting them on fire. "Sometimes I like to watch them burn", as Anska would say. But yes, slaughtering vampires is well worth 20 bucks.

it was worth 20 bucks just for the vampire lord cause he is a boss with all the perks, but i do wished theyd put more into the main story...but what do ya do, just have to have fun with what we got until the next DLC :)

^basically, especially for all those people complaining about "wasting" their money on buying DG because they're not smart enough to do research on what they are buying
