Dawnguard should not be allowed to turn into a vampire lord

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 6:13 am

So then you want your hands Tied... To be led and not have the inclination to decide if you want to or not... Restrictions on how you play in your sandbox... ppl say they want features and when they do get them they complain... Fickle, I say... IMO

Oh yeah, there's that lovely argument over how choice is a good thing, and then when they have the choice, they complain that things should be more forced on you in certain ways.

I would say that I don't understand why the Crossbows are such a big deal. I still got one as a vampire. It's a basic one, but I still have one. It does it's job as a weapon, but I am not holding it aloft as though it is the reason I bought the DLC.
I'm happy it's not the latter, as I was worried there for a second. I'll try to explain. The two selling points of the game were basically vampire lord and crossbow. That's why I'm using those two. Doing the vampire side you do get a crossbow, but it's only one, you can't smith it or smith bolts for it. The ones you get later on the dawnguard are much better. Dawnguard gets those plus vampire lord form, granted that they don't get the four pieces of equipment to make it stronger, but thats negligible considering they aren't that great and you only get to wear two I think. I might be one, but I don't know.

why would you complain about a benefit to the game? it's not a damn mmo where you have to worry about balance. if you want to take advantage of it then do it, if not then don't. personally indont think there is any reason to nerf anything in a RPG.

You are not understanding. I'm saying that dawnguard is superior to the vampires. That means there is not really too much reason to join the vampires. That's bad game design.

...Crossbows are the selling point...
Again, I'm in disagreement with you. I'm sure there are others that might agree with me, that the draw was Vampire Hunters vs Vampires...
Again, materialism. It's a weapon. An object. Insignificant to the grand scheme of things. Dawnguard starts shooting at me with a crossbow, I start throwing my Vampire Lord powers at him and he's dead because he's too busy reloading.

REAL tactical advantage.

Huh, I would find it weird that a character who's a vampire HUNTER, would take on the very curse that they are trying to eliminate.

Sun Tzu: To defeat your enemy you must know your enemy

Me: What better way to know my enemy to be a vampire lord XD

I feel like you dont understand whats going on. Its the fact that dawnguard get the chance to turn into a vampire lord and get cross bolts and bows.

No, that was the theme. The selling points were vampire lord and crossbows.

Well, this is the point where I say we agree to disagree, one of us flips a table, maybe give the bird, and part ways on this matter. I don't agree with your sentiment...and actually think it's rather shallow. Good day sir.
