Dawnguard: 1-10?

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 9:29 am

8.5
Had a whole lot of fun with it. My only problems were the fact that Fort Dawnguard cannot be decorated (I don't know about Castle Volkihar), and I just wish that the Dragonbone weapons are stronger. Besides this, I loved it.

5.

I like the Soul Cairn and the new stuff.

I hated the anti-climactic Vampire ending, and the continual forced good girl role. I could deal with good ending being canon, but you don't even get to make that choice.

Also, the bugs.

8, it would have been 10 if the quest weren't the same for either side

8/10. Loved a lot of it. Dissapointed with not being able to 'trick' out your castle, as well as not enough interaction with the dawnguard from the vampire storyline point of view.

Put up a poll.

I'd give it 9/10 overall, a few little bugs and the DLC is heavily biased to the dawnguard faction. But I welcome the new VL form, the changes to werewolves, the new armor and weapons aren't bad so overall I'm pleased. The questline is pleasing, little irritated they didn't add a proper 'block out the sun' option, and the fact that the dawnguard can block out the sun.

I'm disappointed that there isn't a decent horse for a 'good character', we have shadowmere and arvak for the more 'evil' looking characters, but nothing for the good old warrior.

Well there is some horse called Frost I believe but I have no idea where or how to get it

9/10
-1 for glitches and crashes

also Serana is awesome, easily the most memorable character in the game.

8 Great story line but it didn't add as much new area as I wanted and the random vamprie attacks on cities is the worst thing ever put into Skyrim.

6 out of 10

1.) You can restore/upgrade everything in each fort

2.) Answer for why pinemoon cave, Solitude, and Markarth are glowing red

3.) Become a pure blood vampire and stuff more involved with Molag Bal

4.) If you are a vampire other non named vampires will be nice to you.

5.) More back story

6.) Ability to marry serena

7.) Random werewolf encounters at night outside

8.) Just a tiny bit more with snow elves like two or three more quests. (Bethesda was teasing us probably for future add-on)

9.) New Vamp weapons besides Harkon's sword

10.) Have the sun blocked out for 2 days at a time, or at least 24h not 12h

11.) Vampiric Grip, bats and super reflexes while in human form.

I was thouroughly impressed by it overall, I had 1 freeze the entire time and that was the only glitch I can think of. I really liked the quest and new content. But the one thing lacking imo was the lack of the ability to marry a certain character. 9/10

There actually was a decent amount of back story and werewolves do spawn at night, also using the grip, bats and super reflexes in human form would be kinda OP.

I don't rate games by numbers as its stupid to do so and the main reason (other then being paid of shills) i don't watch or read reviews for games because in my opinion your either going to like the game or not and you don't need some moronic reviewer to tell you what you should and shouldn't buy Because at the end of the day the only thing that matters is what YOU think not some tool paid to give good reviews to who ever pays them the most or give bad reviews to who ever doesn't and half the time they never even play the damn game or even play to the end.

Not many, if any games deserve 10, let alone DLC. Dawnguard has kept me playing stupid amount of hours every day since it came out, haven't had this much fun with a game probably since Skyrim came out. I honestly cant give it any less than 9, its been lots of fun and haven't even touched the vampire side yet (cant wait!).

8 or 8.5 out of 10. Some minor flaws, but an overall great package worth the price.

9/10

I liked everything about it, with the exception of the whole "can't marry Serana" thing. It was slightly anti-climactic, if you ask me.

I'd give it an 8, aside from certain glitches etc... and some more content it would be a 10.

I'd give it a 10 because of the new areas you're allowed to go to. The Soul Cairn is my favorite place now, and the story was very well-written and the characters were developed even in the short time that they were relevant to the quests. Hopefully the other DLCs will follow suit with Dawnguard, and hopefully spears will be added in the next one!

↑ I give it a 10 as well

8.

Adds a lot more replay value to vanilla skyrim, but at the same time doesn't quite truly expand the game that much besides a "new guild" as I see it.

I love it though. Right in the middle of KoTN and SI, as advertised.

imho dawnguard is the most fun i've had in skyrim since it came out. i would imo give it a 10 out of 10 but thats just me. now when i first started playing for about the first 3 or 4 hours it was lagging as all hell and froze to the point where i had to restart my 360 a few times but aside from that its [censored] amazing.

amen to that even tho i did rate it lol. but that pretty much how i feel i don't go by what some one told me about what ever it is there telling me about. there has been so many times that i've had some one tell me that say a movie or a game was really bad then i went and watched it or played it and they were awesome. one time it turned out to be one of the best movies i had ever seen. well not the best but pretty damn close.
