I hate running around Skyrim like I have weights on my legs and I cannot even jump over a small rock.

As opposed to being able to jump on top of a roof from the ground? I think jumping height is quite accurate in Skyrim.

That could be a racial trait of Khajiit! And even better, they could make it so that guards, without being bribed or you currying favor with the Jarl, wouldn't let you into towns, and so you had to find a spot where you could leap over the city wall and stay out of sight from the guards to do your shopping.

And while they're at it, they should modify the Khajiit sneaking stance.

It would be cool if you could some how climb or pull yourself up. I don't know how this would work maybe jump and then in mid-air press the jump again so your character to grab hold of ledges or something.

Accurate to what?
I'd like to make a swift martial warrior but I can't because all the characters have tree stumps for legs.

A "par cor" style perk tree would be cool IMO. It could use the old acrobatics and athletics in one skill set.

You're carrying hundreds of pounds of equipment on you, of course you have weight on your legs....

I don't much care for jump height, but the fact that I can't sprint into a jump and attack mid air drives me crazy, where is the logic behind it?

I miss that from Oblivion as well. People claim it was unrealistic. To which I reply - Daedra...

This is exactly what acrobatics should have become (instead of roadkill), except with a proper perk tree (ie, not Smithing-inspired):

EVERY level of acrobatics marginally increases your jumping height, and the amount of space you can pull yourself up. At various non-standard intervals, you can additional abilities that are intrinsic to the skill, such as the ability to jump from a sprint, or the ability to auto-climb while walking or jogging, or auto-vaulting while sprinting, or the ability to jump before climbing...

Perks would allow crazier stunts, like wall-run, wall-hop, slides, etc.

Thus, someone who merely jumps a lot can get around "quite well". Someone who actually perks it up has a whole bag of tricks that can be used to ambush, evade, or get into areas that are not EASILY accessed otherwise. (In other words, using the raw skill makes you Brink-like, using the perks makes you Mirror's Edge-y)

The jumping height looks fine as it is tbh.

Wearing/carrying hundreds of pounds of gear and expecting to be able to jump onto cliffs and rooftops would be game breakingly bad for me (hyperbole for fun etc, meh)

What about those who don't carry hundreds of pounds of equipment?

I myself carry about 47lbs of gear with my forsworn assasin but leaping around silly heights would look so out of place, imo.

To each their own of course but that's my opinion.

Yet you can raise the dead to fight for you, conjure up an imaginary weapon to help you win your next fight, cast spells to cause your enemies to kill themselves, as well as fire, frost and shock spells from your hands to kill enemies...and yet the only thing we're worried about is how realistic the jumping height is? get a grip people, there's absolutely nothing realistic about TES, never has been. Bring us back some of what's been stripped away...including jumping height. We don't need ridiculous Oblivion style jumping (although it was fun) Perhaps a perk even, that allows for some to be able to jump higher (2x, 3x, 4x).

I can sprint and jump in real life. I've never tried but I'd be willing to bet I'd be able to jump at someone and poke em with a sword as I do that.
Even if it isn't realistic, skyrim, nor any other TES game has ever been based on realism.

More than this, I'd like to see them bring back the dodge roll that used to be an acrobatics perk.

Why do people bring up realism in a game where you can shoot fireballs from your fingertips and dragons fly around in the sky?

I just don't understand why TES players don't stick together. I never play as a necromancer, but if they ditched reanimation, I'd have a problem with that. I always played as an acrobat/thief. So, how am I supposed to play the acrobat in skyrim? A crucial skill has been axed.

It's a shame. People cite realism and that's a lame excuse. According to the TES world, acrobats exist... Realism doesn't play into it at all. If anything, according to TES realism standards, jump height should be much higher for those who are acrobats. Please resurrect this class.

It has always baffled me as to why people crow for realism when playing a fantastical game.
One would think that the draw card to such a genre would be the distinct diversion from realism.

By strafing and spamming the jump button, you can climb to the highest mountain peaks. No stamina cost either, unlike Oblivion. It may not be realistic, but it works.

Its not exactly elegant though is it?
Also, as was highlighted earlier, the could be so much more flexibility within a character if movement was enhanced.

Console commands...

setgs fjumpheightmin x

"x" is the height, I wouldn't go over 500 unless you want to start taking damage, well.. not without typing "player.setavhealth 100000000" first lol
