He was a teeny bit psycho at the end of Crysis one, hence flying a vtol back on his own to kick some ass in the middle of a nuclear strike

Well he WAS featured in the 3D trailer.... were on to something :P
BTW question to Crytek, if so much emphasis is placed on there being ONE man with the power so save New York, why does Prophet have a Nanosuit 2 as well as Alcatraz?

Yeah, what's up with that?

(Though, this might be a little theoretical, Two heroes = One sequel :)

Im thinking Prophet may have used Alcatraz as either a codename or as a name to stay away from CryNets attention.

It actually is not that hard, most of you have seen interview and such that state that prophet was the one to steal the nanosuit right? So pretty much all that is answered here http://www.rifters.com/crawl/?p=1739 it states that you were just a ordidnary soldier until your squad was mowed down on the battlefield and prophet gave the suit to you kind of like a second skin so you could survive your wounds and keep fighting.

What a good successor... you dont have to play the first game to know whats going on.
That is obvoiusly not what a good successor should do... otherwise you will get angry fans of the predecessor.
Some questions will be answered? Holy **** crap!!! I want every god damn question to be answered in crysis 2. Its the god damn successor of Crysis 1! Thats what it should be about! Tell us what the hell was going on after the events of the first one. For me its like Crytek sacrifices the most part of the old story ( or leaves it unmentioned) just to make the game attractive for console gamers once more. This statement about : some things will be revealed bla bla... is just damage containment related to the frustration that Pc gamers and true Crysis fans will have when they must read the comic to get the ending that the **** cliffhanger in C1 has denied us.

I agree with that fact :)
