This is an area Bethesda...has trouble with.
Fighting Dagoth Ur is just plain weird, and if you knock him off the bridge he cant hurt you.
In Oblivion...was there even a last fight? Im not even sure if the giant boss was considered part of the world. it wasnt in the Creatures section of the construction set. Ultimately in that game, the final boss was the doors. because sometimes you'd have to open and close doors a lot to make your vital vulnerable characters not get stuck in that place they go when you open a door at the wrong time and they are on neither side.
And in Skyrim you shout at a dragon until your friends kill it.
Oh, this is fun for me though. When I first did the fight, I was having a bug. Its the bug that removes special ighting effects. You can see underwater, the icebergs below the surface perfectly. shadows warp and expand as you pass them, extending out as if the sun had dissapeared... And snow and fog are gone.
So heres what I was thinking "Why are we all shouting to clear fog? Theres none here at all."
Needless to say, this final event was confusing.
