dlc about marriage only?

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 12:08 am

Before anyone start flamin me for making ANOTHER one of these post just hear me out first... Since dawnguard came out, a lot of people wants to marry serana... NOT EVERYONE but A LOT... So im just saying is it possible that bethesda might decide to make a dlc that gives more marriage options.... MAYBE or MAYBE NOT including serana but definitely more choices as in who you can marry... maybe some more interactions like quests after marriage?? cuz Everyday when i look through these forums... I always see people making threads about wanting to marry serana.... and before dawnguard comes out it was all about wanting to marry people that they normally cant because they're on consoles(like me, I am on console) SO do u think that bethesda is actually thinking about making one of those kind of dlc??

She's not into marriage (doesn't like running a store) so just shack up with her. It's not like you get six either way anyhow.

I'd like to see it included with a dlc that adds a new landmass to explore...but no to it by itself.

They could have as an addition in a future DLC, the whole marriage thing is a mess they should have done the idea properly in the first place or have left the whole thing out.

It seems the same as cooking, nice idea to start with but it's pretty useless - another idea that's been half baked!

Now that you bring up Fable though...the ability to have children that combined your own and your spouses face would be interesting. Then maybe a few radiant quests that can start for or involve spouses. Maybe its an anniversary conversation, or a birthday party, or even rescuing relatives or exploring a dungeon your spouse just found the location of.

How dare you insult cooking like that! I ought to have you burned at the steak! Mhmmm, steak. Hold on while I go cook something in Skyrim!

As a patch yes, but not dlc. They did it with Lydia. Considering the popularity of Serana, I'd say it's a good idea. I don't see why people object to the idea

Because marriage in Skyrim makes the NPC a robot, so marrying Serana would completely ruin her character, unless they made marriage to her different I don't want to be able to marry her.

Haven't we disscussed this before? I don't think it would be to hard for Beth. that if you could marry her you would be forced to have her permanently as a follwer.

I could stomach that, and those who can't well it would be your fault for marrying her - you know head strong girls and that kind of thing.

Haha  yes we have talked about this, but I still think unless they did a special marriage ceremony, and then make it so that she keeps her personality then I would consider marrying her, but I will most likely roleplay that we are married.

Actually the ceremony was disscused elsewhere - it went along the lines of an exchange of neck bites.

 okay... that sounds a little strange. I think they should do something different than that because not everyone who marries her may be a vampire.

More marriage options tucked into a DLC - sure, why not.
A DLC devoted to marriage - not really interested.

Something as minor as more marriage options doesn't really warrant its own DLC package. If Dawnguard offered some more marriage options in the Dawnguard and Volkihar factions it wouldn't have been a bad thing though for example.

Also as noted a DLC devoted to marriage would be pointless for the PC crowd who can already marry almost anyone.

She sounded pretty adimant to me about keeping her gift.

Yeah, but not everyone wants to play as a vampire, so that type of wedding wouldn't suit everyone.

You want her you might have to make a few small sacrifices - like your soul.

Mind you if she gave up being a vamp for you then that sounds pretty commited to me.

I think we have properly hijacked this thread by now.
