DLC - Will we get to fight the Thalmor?

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 7:15 am

Yup, and only one survived. And unless he reproduced...which is basicly impossible...The Dwemer are dead and gone.

The lore says that they were all taken to become the golden skin of the Numidium, the god that they were trying to create.

This didn't happen to Yagrum, the last living dwarf you meet in Morrowind, because he was in a different dimension at the time.

Dam that svcks for them, the idiots they became skin lol.

I don't need DLC to fight them.

I killed everything at the Embassy. :D

I even killed the mage and his 2 goons in Markarth; right in front of the Jarl.

I definitely want an anti-thalmor DLC, and doubt that Bethesda would craft an enemy like the Thalmor without giving the ability to fight them actively. It's ideal DLC material, after all.

Who'd turn down a chance to kick some Thalmor parse? :)

I for one look forward to fighting our Thalmor overlords. :)

Hmm, why can't we call them dwarves?

Dunmer, not dark elves?
Bosmer, not wood elves?
Get over it, man. You call them dwarves just as you call Dunmer dark elves...

Edit: they also refer to "Dwemer" armor as dwarven armor...
Dwemer = Deep Elves
End of discussion.

Well he is a Dwarf. Maybe he could make some sort of cloning machine ;)

@Zurin:

Dwemer = Dwarf = Deep Elf

They have several names for every race, depending on the part of the world you go to. There are Bas Relief images of Dwemer and they look like your typical fantasy Dwarf. They are described that way, as well.

Yep, they're not dead. Just invisible. And reeeeally quiet.
Yes that's what you too will become if you leave a place and never return.

Also, why we can't call the dwarves? That question is meaningless, of course you can call them dwarves. Todd Howard has even said multiple times that they are the equivalent to dwarves, and in-game they are referred to as dwarves.

You don't have to actually be something for someone to call you that, the only requirement is the difference of opinion. Imperials: They are DWARVES! Altmer: NO, THEY ARE NOT.

Also people, WTF is this about Dwemer not being short? Did none of you guys ever meet Bagram in Morrowind? Sure he had mechanical legs, but you take his upper body with a pair of proportioned legs and he's not exactly tall. He's like 4 foot tall or something.

Yes you are being sarcastic, seriously some one here must be up to date of the lore, last I read it wasn’t a sure thing there were actually dead as a race, but its been a while since i read up on them.
Some people question it. But actually exploring ruins in Morrowind, you find piles of ash. This is not a good sign.

Dwarf = a nickname that just stuck because of all the giants on the time that the Dwemer were still alive.

Nickname, schnickname. It's still something they're called, I.E. it's not false. It's just semantics.

There could be a DLC which would take us so Summerset Isles in the future, so we could wipe out the elves right there at their homeland.

I'd love it.

What language is that? Because in the common tongue of the empire Dwemer translates to deep elf.

I'd also love that.

Elsweyr - a desert - awesome

Black Marsh - most mysterious province so far - awesome

Why are people arguing about dwemer in my thread! If bethesda call them dwarves, they are dwarves. Stop being stupid.

I would love the opportunity to take a blow to the thalmor at least, Imperial or Stormcloak they both hate the thalmor.

The Dwemer are DEAD. And, once again...They are "Dwemer." Not Dwarves, "Dwemer."

theyre dwarves because the first people they met were giants. but i guess dwemer is "PC"

I really hope Bethesda does something special with the DLC and does not release some half-assed crap like most companies do.

I would say that Shivering Isles and Bloodmoon were pretty special (didn't play bloodmoon, but people seem to love it).

I kinda hope the land gets expanded upon though, rather then teleporting to a whole new area.

I'm thinking it would be in the Providence that the Bosmer are from, I swear I heard or read somewhere that the Bosmer helped the Thalmor get to Cyrodiil.

Bosmer hate the thalmor, the altmer took over their land of valenwood. Thalmor owned valenwood would have been a good strategic point to invade cyrodill however.,
