I saw a giant and dragon fight. It was really sweet! Giant owned him pretty easily which I didn't think was right. Dragon shoulda pwned him hard. Dragons are way too easy in this game, but they are a wonder to behold otherwise.

I killed a giant at level 8 while duel wielding two silver swords. I just kept backing away until he swung at me then would run up and slash him at the side a couple times and repeat until he fell to 1 knee and i killed him.

I'm flattered

Strangely, A giant didn't attacked me when he saw me going nearby. o.O Maybe I wasn't close enough.

I came across my first giant camp this afternoon. I think I managed to poke his knee twice before he sent me flying to my death.

I wandered into a camp by accident, and flew about a mile when it hit me.
A bit later, I came across a camp with a lone giant, and managed to kill it. I used the full Unrelenting Force, which sent it flying into the fire, then it somehow got stuck as it stood up, so I was able to pelt it with fireballs until it died. I think I was about level 10.

only 30 feet!!! haha my brother went to one and it hit him... he flew as high as the white gold tower in oblivion.
personally, i think it has to be a fail somehow, sense his body quickly hit the ground first. Oh and no I don't think many here have killed a giant yet >_<

Draugr ...yea... They are pretty strong in Morrowind also.

i thought they were supposed to be gentle... i tried to talk to one, and hit smashed me about 500 feet in the air. conjure up some familiars or fire archonachs for distractions and shoot them with arrows. every giant camp i've come across ive killed all the giants as an argonian mage, and im level 14 now. they have GREAT stuff on them. Has anyone managed to kill a mammoth??

i've killed giants since lvl 2 you just have to abuse the game a little by hiding behind rocks where they cant reach you

I'm not sure what you guys are talking about. I'm playing on adept (normal), and I've killed two giants so far as a two-handed weapon Nord warrior. Each one was a close call, but I killed each before level 8. My companion (the woman who brawls with you in Whiterun) did help a bit, but she didn't make a huge difference.

The key was to run in when the giant was busy with my companion and do a power attack, which would usually drop it to its knees. Then I would hit it a few times and retreat.

I can kill them with 4 or so sneak crits with dual daggers. Mammoths on the other hand...

Giants are so slow that you can handle them easily with a bow or Destruction magic.

Using obstacles only magnifies your advantage. Just get a rock between you and him, and circle it while you unload on him with ranged attacks, and he'll go down easily. Or you could hit and run, because it has to be a completely direct hit to do any damage to you. If they miss, the shockwave will stagger you horrifically, but you'll live.
