Did anyone NOT choose the Masque of "Darth" Clavicus? The Weapon was a dud in comparison (and rightfully so for story reasons).

i took the masque because i knew never, ever, to trust Clavicus Vile.

Seriously, it's the Masque of Clavicus Vile versus the pleasure of axe-murdering Barbas--that is no small thing to give up. I've stayed in character twice so far and took the mask, but I think I'll feel more satisfied with the axe.

For those of you on PC, there's a mod to fix Barbas's most annoying stupidities.

First and foremost Barbas CANNOT DIE! (Now maybe this is a glitch?) but I am ok with it.

Barbas is quest essential -- not a bug or glitch.

I didn't even know about the masque when completing the quest, and Barbas pissed me off so bad on the way to finishing it, I couldn't wait to kill him quite honestly. On my "less-chaotic-evil" thief, I'm sure I'll let him and Clavicus get reaquainted.

I see Barbas hasn't tried to push you off of a cliff yet.

Never considered him for a permament pet, cause he annoyed me to death during the quest. When he was supposed to lead me to the shrine he had absolutely no idea where he was going. I followed him for over two hours while he was just running circles or going in a straight line for several minutes, then stop and go straight back again.
