You people need to look at the lore.

In-Game shouts? Restricted for Game play mechanics.

In the lore? Shouts can destroy entire cities, and even more. A whisper from the Greybeards causes the mountain to shake. These men have been spending years training. The Dragonborn? They learn the knowledge by absorbing the Dragon's soul. All that knowledge, from the beginning of time. All those shouts, at the Dragonborn's disposal. Forgotten knowledge going back since the start of the Kapla. With all the DB has, a single word could destroy the entire arena they are fighting the Courier in, along with the Courier. Don't think in terms of gameplay for threads like this.

Wait, aren't VS threads not allowed?

This. People always conveniently forget that.

Bruce Lee is the true king.

Oblivion, and the other Edlerscrolls games had an intelligence stat, and intelligence governed how much magicka you had.

Just assume a Dragonborn with a high magic stat is really smart, and that stupid people can't use magic.

I know this and it is not displayed in skyrim so we can't be sure. As for the magic skill then that shows that both are only more intelligent in their respective universes.

But that's wrong. Even if we accept a maximum 85% damage reduction, the courier could still easily deal between 100 - 400+ damage a shot if set up optimally.

Oh my God.. If a DEATHCLAW: a non-magical creature of flesh, and bone. Can survive a .50 calibur sniper shot. A high level magical shield definitely can.

and that is not taking into account abuse of turbo, which is a superior speed enhancing ability compared to the slow time shout, of which they could have infinite number of. It would not matter how often one tried to heal if they get speed blitzed down by overwhelming damage in such a short period of time.

You do know you only have a limited amount of Turbo right? What happens when the turbo is used up. Also there is no way. No way, no way, no way that high reflexes in anyway compares to the literal, actual slowing of time itself.

There is no way.

Turbo comes in two variants. The implant which is 10 uses a day, and a consumable that is usable as long as you have some to use. Mechanically, it is superior as the speed to slowdown ratio is much greater than the slow time shouts gameplay effect. Also, the courier can punch the legendary deathclaw to death in a single uppercut on the highest difficulty with a melee setup...what now?

Its still limited, and it will run out. While the Slow Time shout has a cool down, it can still be used as much as needed.

Yeah.. My arguments aren't based solely off of gameplay mechanics. Also a Dragonborn specced in unarmed damage can beat a Dragon on Master with his/her fists.

Especially if the Dragonborn is a Khajiit.

What now?

If the courier is in close proximity with that build to the dovakiin, then he can use shouts on him, and if thats the case, your done.

You seem to be operating under the notion that the fight will actually be drawn out long enough for that to matter. I've played both games extensively, and I am under no false pretenses, that a fight between the two will somehow not be decided entirely upon who strikes first, and hardest.

Fine.

Dragonborn shoots a fireball from his hand. The Courier explodes.

Or. The Dragonborn uses the Telekinesis spell to pull whatever gun the Courier has in his hands Jedi style.

I though Telekinesis doesn't work that way. Also Courier could just pull out another gun.

Oh, it would surely be an dramatic moment with the Dovahkiin plunging a sword in Courier gut while the Courier shoves an pistol to Dovahkins face and pulls the trigger. Both dead and some sad violin music is played in the background.

Regular Telekinsis can move/pull inanimate objects.. Logically a skilled Alteration mage could just pull a weapon out of someones hands. Especially if they weren't expecting that.

The Courier definitly wouldn't.

Also Courier could just pull out another gun.

Dragonborn casts Thunderbolt(instant travel spell) as the Courier reaches for his sidearm/other gun.

If you don't factor in game mechanics/glitches, and just lore and stuff, the Dragonborn would win. Daedric is infused with the souls of Daedra. Dragon armor is made out of dragons. Also, the Wabbajack.

Dova for sure, he'd use fus-roh-dah on his mini-nukes and they'd fly right back to him, and his quick speeds just in-destroyable.

How close are they when they start? What equipment are the allowed?

If the Courier could have some distance when he started and had a .50, I'm pretty sure he could kill him in one shot.

This is one of those "knife to a gunfight" things.

If the Courier gets the first attack he will win unquestionably, if he gets any kind of sneak attack critical the fight is over right there. (The Courier can one-shot a Deathclaw with an AMR btw). However in a longer engagement the Dovakiin could use his shouts, and the courier would have his drugs and GRX implant. The courier's weapons are superior imo with the range and all, he also has various chems( with no recharge time) which he can get a near infinite amount of via dlc. In the other corner, the Dovakiin has a wide variety of shouts( which he can only use so many of in a period of time) that can do various things, and are unlimited, although his weapons are primitive at best. In the armor department I would say they are about equal, Remnants armor and Daedric are pretty similar in what they do.

So the edge goes to

Courier: Weapons
Tie: Accessories
Tie: armor

In the event of a short fight the courier is going to win, with long range bullets, and chems with no recharge time.
In a longer fight the dovakiin wins because he never runs out of shouts and doesn't have to worry about bullets.

(I left out the really cheesy stuff like super-smithed weapons, stun lock( destruction, shotguns, super slam), and nukes.

I think that they both die as Alduin and Lanius would team attack while they're drained of Ammo and Stamina/Magika.

My Courier consume an enormous amount of chems and hammer Dovahkiin to death with his bare hands.
