That is the way to do it. Throw them from somewhere high or if you're a Magick Archer then there's always Sacrifical Bolt.

Edit:

steampunk, noooo. What have you done to Naga?

mystic knight leveled up is very powerful
i am using the great cannon [after i figured out how it works]
man i can take down cyclops chimeras etc in minutes now
then i tried holy furor.. ditto
i am going to try this on the drake

great cannon give you an orb../ i go ok so whats good about that
it floats in front of you and does?
i found out by accident...
so an enemy attacks me in front of the orb. in swinging at the enemy
i hit the orb with my sword
total cannon balls

i can kill enemies from a distance with that etc
easy for those stupid escort misions i can clear a path
as soon as i spot the enemy

just hit the orb it shots balls of? over and over until it runs out

Lay down four of those Cannons and do a few Fullmoon Slashes. Watch as your framerate drops into the negatives when battling a group of enemies.

I got ambushed by a flock of snow harpies. Then a chimera shows up. And then a pack of direwolves. Kyll? maalla on mukavaa :lmao: (A quote from a song, translates to about "sure is fun on the countryside" :hehe:)

Without going into details, how far is the main quest when the wyrm hunt tasks are finished?

So should I wait a while to continue doing the Everfall? I walked into one room and faced two dark chimeras and some sort of wraith mage thing along with a bunch of horrible black wolf things. I nearly died in under a minute but healed myself and ran. Then I walked into another room and found some beefed up hydra that ate me and killed my pawns. AFAIK those are the only enemies really left and I only have 15 of the 20 wakestones I'm supposed to get.

Heh, you actually managed to walk into the Everfall chamber with the reputation of being the most insane. A Black Chimera, a Chimera and a Lich that summons Hellhounds. Some of the other rooms are much easier so I'd suggest consulting the wikia to find a challenge you believe you can defeat and then work your ways forward from there.

If you ask me, even offline Ur-Dragon is easier than the Chamber you first ventured into.

That little after 22 hours? Better step it up then. Problem is that i don't feel comfortable continuing playing when my PS3's fans start sounding like a vacuum cleaner :hehe:

Fought my first golem, now that's some nice enemy design. All looks, fight, and animation -wise ^_^

Fought the Ur-Dragon but it felt...weak.

I was expecting some huge battle but instead I got this weakling that barely put up any kind of fight. What was up with that?

Thats disappointing. I know it varies with how quickly people beat it online.

The good news:

I fought it again last night and barely scratched him. The other one I just probably got lucky since it's health was already pretty far down.

Yeah, you should be able to complete the final battle at level 46.

Post-game? You are in trouble. Last night, I finished the final battle at level 52 with a Strider>Ranger>Assassin. I thought I was primed for the post-game and the Everfall. I was wrong. Dead wrong. The game got so much more difficult after the dragon, I couldn't believe it. Then I went into the Everfall and it was even MORE difficult because of all the new creatures that are there, and the combination groups that they come in.

At one point, I was facing two Gorechimera, a pack of Hellhounds, two lich, and a friggin pack of undead all in the same room. I had to flee. By then, I was level 58 from grinding out levels - level 58 (with top gear and maxed vocations) and I was getting pwned like a newb.

btw, is the new game plus more difficult? Does it allow you to keep all you vocations/items?

Yes it does. I am on it. However it goes into your storage. I don't know about it being harder though.

I was screaming, top of my lungs, things that would make truckers and sailors turn white and alienate even my closest friends, when I tried to fight that group of enemies. At first, it was only a dragon but the camera was so bad in the room that I was failing the fight, so I transitioned out of the room, healed up, and then went back in - dragon was gone, group of enemies from hell was there. Impossible fight. You'll understand when you see how you can't struggle out of a Hellhounds jaws, how you can't avoid lich spells, and how you can't stagger (it seems) any of the undead in the Everfall.

NG+ (so far) is not more difficult. You keep everything you earned from before (levels, vocation ranks, gold, items). All items are in storage, but you can get at them right away in the first inn.

So is there anything new in NG+? Or is it just for the achievement?

A shame that this game can only have character at a time, i suppose i need to make new user profiles  I was thinking Mage->Warrior->Mystic Knight next. And have my curent Ranger as her main pawn :hehe:

So no more difficult enemies in old places like seabreeze? So you basically just curbstomp everything.

No. NG+ is exactly the same as your first run, just with all the items and stats you have gained. The point of it is basically just to let you finish up any quests you may have missed in your first playthrough.

Spoiler
Of course, once you kill the dragon again in NG+ and reach the post-game you will have those harder enemies spawn all over the world like before.
