Dragon Riding is pointless. Bethesda, you're a big joke.

If you bought this for dragon riding, it's not Bethesda who is the big joke here.

Why did it not post the first time I replied. Oh well ignore this post that I edited so that I wasn't saying the same thing twice.

Do you get one of those as well. Awesome I've not got that far into the game yet. I'm just taking my time taking it all in.

Yeah it's kinda late in the game though, around the 28-29 missions in part when you go to the bottom island. game gets better and better lol. and sorry for off topic people, but it's a great game, check it out lol.

Around 30 missions? Are those main quest or main quest+side quests?

Daaamn, that is an incredible ammount of quests for a single DLC. May be close to Shivering Isles

No that was referring to far cry 3. A bit off topic.

As far as i'm concerned, Beth has no excuse here.

The DLC is still worth it imo, but i don't see the point in implementing an half-assed dragon riding mechanic. Either makes it correctly or just don't do it. It's even worse to do it when you know that console limitations wouldn't allow something properly done.

The only ones at fault are the clowns who envisioned being able to galavant across the skies with absolute freedom. Bethesda never said how dragon mounts would be done, and the smart fans new it wasn't going to be that way.

it was the main thing asked for constantly early in Skyrims release and referenced ad nausem with every mentioning of Patch and DLC announcement. folks who understood skyrims mechanics were fully aware of how it would turn out, and peeps who just wanted dragon riding to ride Dragons for the most part weren't.

Skyrims world space is -TOO SMALL- to feature player controlled dragons, the Major cities are in separate world spaces, and dragons are sort of onrails as is without Dragon born.. its been done, if it was anything like other games that featured Dragon riding it would have been a surprise, but ultimately you can't really be mad for how its implemented now.

Lol, all PS3 bs aside, it looks like Beth did a solid job with this DLC. Why would anyone pay $20 just to mount dragons?

Yeah, I think this is the general consensus. Dude should have cashed in for quarters and he could have gotten, what, 40 of those rides on the Puff the Magic Dragon kiddie coin-op ride down at his local WalMart.

What if you mount a dragon inside a city? You can only fly about inside that city?

Thanks again, M'aiq Howard.

What is funny, is people thought that you can control the dragon, but its letting you ride him where the dragon wants to go. Your asking if you can control a dragon (who has the knowledge far greater than the dragonborn) to be controlled by a person. Also, who knows, they migh find a way to implement player controlled dragon riding later next year. I want my bugs fixed first.

/sarcasm off

ok just kidding, i actually think it sounds pretty cool, do you really think a dragon is going to let some mortal crash it into the side of a mountain anyways? sit back and enjoy the ride and let the dragon do the flying, geez.

As it has been stated people should have been aware of the limitations of the current gen hardware for something like this, Bethesda tried to do people a solid and add a feature that people have been going on about since day one for some stupid reason and people are acting like Bethesda [censored] slapped their grandmas.

Maybe the [censored] needed to be slapped. :)

If it were even controllable I wouldn't have a problem with you being confined to a single cell. It's just insulting.

I do not understand. I had alot of trouble with the dragon riding. Then I looked in the help menu and saw the istructions on how to control the dragon. It took alot of practice, just as it does to do power attacks, but then I had a different attitude as i flew over Skyrim looking at the towns and the sights from above. I could mount the dragon, fly forward, order the dragon to attack, I could target an enemy and shoot fireballs at them from the sky, I could order the dragon to attack, and then I could land and dismount. And I acually enjoyed it. But I think that the help menu and practice sure helped alot.
