...im a casual gamer, i don't play the games that much and it seems silly to buy a $400 PC when id hardly use it?
Well, unless you are posting on this forum via smartphone or school computer, I'm guessing you use your PC often. I would love to own a nice gaming PC
and an Xbox but it just isn't in the budget. A modest PC gets me both my web/office/school computer and a gaming platform in one machine. To me, that turns your argument on it's head. I see mine as the cheaper solution.
yes you paid $400 for your computer.... But how much extra have you put into it to upgrade the OS, prevent virusses and upgrade your graphics? Ohh yeah and if u upgraded your graphics card then most likely you needed to buy a new power supply to properly supply power to all the new features so your computer doesnt end up damaging itself... Do not try and tell people that gaming is cheaper on PC than it is on console... You need to either buy a custom computer or upgrade the one you bought from a store for it to run a game like skyrim without being choppy...
The PSU in this computer burned up last year so I had to spend $75 there. Otherwise, it's bone stock since the day I bought it. I didn't even have to buy an OS because it was pre-installed and I run AVG anti-virus which is free. More to the point, I could upgrade it if I wanted to and extend it's life by several years.
I'm telling you guys. The argument that PC's are too expensive is just plain false. Owning both a PC and a console... Now
that would be too expensive.
