Dragons should use more Shouts.

i 100% agree. I would love to fight a dragon that knew how to use their thu'um or shout as well as my character. could bring variety to each dragon encounter and make them more exciting.

I was just thinking about this a few minutes ago.

Hell, I was thinking about this kind of thing since I first fought a dragon.

I was expecting the dragons to unleash hell upon me with shouts as varied as my own, but was sorely disappointed when I didn't hear a single Fus Ro Dah come from one of the scaly beasts' mouths. It would make duels with a dragon more difficult and generally more interesting. A versatile foe is a difficult foe to fight, and with all of the dragon shouts available it'd make them so much more interesting. I love the idea of a dragon swooping in with Whirlwind Sprint, activating Elemental Fury and slicing the dovahkiin into tiny little chunks.

Totally agree, it would make dragons more interesting, more versatile and above all more dangerous and challenging. Bring on the dragon who can shout "Fus Ro Dah".

Should atleast make dragons alternate between fire and frost during battle.
Fus Ro would work aswell, staggers but doesn't blow you off.

This is not about the difficulty or the challenge, this is about breaking a promise and breaking lore. Besides that, master difficulty merely increases the health they have and the damage they deal; whether or not this is a "false difficulty" (as many consider it), it is not the same as being more tactical and using the shouts they should be using; master difficulty is no compensation.

Good point, I was just thinking about the challenge they present when fighting them, not necessarily the lore

And become ethereal noooo , good idea but faaar too annoying , you know when your playing on master and they never land and keep doing flame breathe fly by's ? imagine how annoying ethereal would be o.0

Become Ethereal deactivates once the person using it attacks an object/person.

I've always wondered why dragons in the game don't even use about a third of all available shouts. It's just weird. They're DRAGON shouts, so how come the ones who the power originated don't even possess it?! I can understand certain dragons having an affinity to a certain elemental power, but that doesn't mean they should only be able to use that particular power. It just doesn't add up. And it makes them as weak as slime monsters.

Unfortunately, the Deadly Dragons mod makes the dragons also summon certain creatures, and that really sounds weird to me. So that's no solution either. I want them to stay lore-friendly.

I agree. I think they should have been able to use at least half of the shouts that are available to the Dragonborn.

Yes, I totally agree. It's silly that of all the creatures in the game who can shout, they have the most limited options (with a whopping one shout) and yet they are the dragons; the Thu'um comes to them as naturally as breathing or existing. They should be masters of the Thu'um by default, by virtue of merely existing according to the lore. And yes, Deadly dragons sounds bad if that's what it does. Besides that, we shouldn't have to mod the game to resolve this: this should be something in vanilla Skyrim, because we all know how annoying mods can potentially be and console players (like myself) should not be stiffed on this.

I'm glad a lot of people seem to be fond of the idea. Hopefully, we'll get the attention of Bethesda and they'll do something about it or at least tell us what they have in store. I'm all for a new patch that gives dragons the ability to shout, but I can't say I'm not a bit miffed that dragons barely freakin' shout in the first place. One shout per dragon? Ever? What were they thinking?!
