[Mod Request] Enchanting: NoTimed Recharge

Post » Thu May 17, 2012 3:06 pm

So, I found out what it was. I had been testing the various mods with the same enchanted bow that I had from before I got any of them. Turns out, it just didn't work with anything I had enchanted prior to actually enabling the mod. So, I just had to get another copy of the weapons I had, enchant them and voilà, it worked.

Oh, you have to be kidding me. So THAT'S why nothing I did ever worked.

Sometimes, I dislike this game.

Actually, it seems to stop working every time you exit the game.

I've been trying different things (unequipping, re, same but unenchanted, exiting with an unenchanted weapon equipped, etc.) but nothing seems to make this work either with pre-existing enchants, or across saves. If anyone figures anything out, please share!

Not sure why this would stop working, unless the perk its self has issues. I simply changed a 0.05 to a 5.0. I've tried it on several characters, all at several different stages during the game. Still works just fine for me :S

One thing to point out. Make sure you don't have an enchantment that's getting the actual death blow. I had been using fire or burning soul trap and noticed that the DoT would actually get the last points of damage in, rather than the physical damage of my weapon. Resulting in me getting very little or no charge back. So, I switched to all enchantments that do a static amount of damage and/or some other kind of secondary effect and it worked just fine.

I actually did not think to try that...all my enchanted weapons do indeed have Fiery Soul Trap on them. Will try with just a Soultrap enchantment and see if there's a difference.
