Enclave DLC #2

Post » Thu Apr 28, 2011 7:09 am

Not to say something like that would be the same as Horse Armor.

I presume this topic was about having entire DLC similar to FO3/NV DLC based on the Enclave, having a base to explore with some corpses is nothing but a extended "Crashed Vertibird" that really serves no purpose.
References to the Enclave existence is not the same as having a Enclave DLC, its something easily done ... we could have Bloomfield Space Center as Mobile Base Crawler of Broken Steel seems to be a heavily modified crawler that was used for were originally used to transport rockets and so its easy to drop references there about how the Enclave got to Washington D.C. but that is still not enough for $9.99 DLC pack.

The Enclave is one of the absolutely most boring factions ever brought into the Fallout world. Hell, Arcade's little quest is like the most interesting part of the faction throughout the games. Let it rest in peace now, come up with something new and interesting instead.

The main issue with Fallout Tactics is that it was not Fallout 3.

Agreed. "The Crater" was going to be cut from Van Buren? That is news to me.

Anyways there is nothing canon breaking about Fallout Tactics.

My desire for the Enclave stems partly from a decided lack of interesting, threatening villians now present in Fallout America. Leinadi, while you might find the Enclave boring, is there any other villianous faction with any of the resources/drive/sensibility of the Enclave?

Caesar's Legion was an interesting idea, but their implementation as a technologically backward, cannibalistic, sixist Mongol horde, which followed NO roman norms other than their sense of style and their language was just terrible. Perhaps if the Legion had actually acted Roman in the slightest, it may have been entertaining, but as it stands, the Legion is destined for failure or devolution into tribals oncemore. (Might be interesting if the Legion Empire fell, resulting into a break-up of feudal and barbarian kingdoms, a sort of Dark Ages in Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico, but I don't see it happening).

The Master is dead and those super mutants that followed him are either seeking a purpose, going completely nuts, or running themselves into NCR bullets, Brotherhood lasers, and tribal spears.

Ghouls could pose a threat, should a sentient ghoul with the charisma of Jason Bright turn his will turns the elimination of healthy humans (perhaps to usher in human evolution into radiation-immune ghouls) but this would require creating a new, imposing enemy.

I think the return of the Enclave could be done well, if they recognized they were in desperate straits (because they're not gone).

If your asking of the Enclave should be added to FNV then no. If you want them in the future fallout games I see nothing wrong with that.

I'm certain we will see them again, they are still out there after all. The reason they went to Raven Rock is because it had a supercomputer, I'm sure there are other installations out there that are just good just without one.

They went to Raven Rock because they recieved the order to go there from President Eden. Also, even if there are other bases out there, what does that matter when their numbers have been depleted to the point that there is probaly not even enough to sustain a population?

The problem is, the Enclave have been the "Enemy" in two Fallout Games now. They have been destroyed twice, three if you count Broken Steel. How many times do we need to bring them back only to destroy them yet again? They will not change (at least many fans don't want them to change). They are dead as a powerful antagonist. RIP Enclave.

Caesar's Legion is a good idea, they just need to expand on them more. Give more detail of their civilization outside of the Legion.

There is also the Commonwealth. They have advanced tech (to advanced ) and we know so little about them, if anything. Still they won't be in a New Vegas DLC.

I like the idea of the MWBoS becoming a future antagonist in a game.

They went there because of the PAX supercomputer, that and the base.

I don't agree with bringing back the Enclave like they once were and their ideals. But have the remaining Enclave throw out their ideals and settle in one place and become a community with whatever technology and tech documents they were able to retrieve. Start to recruit new people as members or citizens and become a nation. The next fallout can take place near their territory so they can be used as an enemy nation or Enclave lovers can join them against NCR or another group. Sounds pretty much like a New Vegas rehash so it may not feel new as a game.

That's the only way I see the Enclave name and their tech can come back even though they wouldn't really be the Enclave.

Please no more Enclave, just please no. Go ahead and stick in a destroyed little bunker or something so op can have his officers uniform but please for the love of all that is holy make it clear in the game that they are still dead.
