My first question is, why does everyone seem to think that wanting real life weapons in the game means wanting it to be like Call of Duty. After all, none of the weapons which have appeared in Call of Duty games have been original creations of the developers, they're all real life weapons, and most of them have appeared in lots of games besides Call of Duty, in fact, Fallout 1 and 2 had some real life weapons. You hear that? There's already precedence for real life weapons in Fallout.
That aside, it's not like we can't have both original (original here meaning that the weapon design is one created by the developers, not one that exists in real life, it doesn't necessarily actually have to be extremely creative to qualify.) and real life guns in the same game, we can, it's been done before. No one is saying we shouldn't have original weapons in the game, just that some want to see specific real life weapons, and I don't see you suggesting any weapon ideas, while I don't usually like the "If you don't like it, then let's see you do better" defense, because it seems to assume that people only have a right to not like something if they can do better, in this case, it might be more constructive if you actually gave us a better idea of what kind of weapons YOU would like to see instead of just complaining about others' suggestions. And in any case, coming up with original ideas for weapons is really not that easy, and unless it actually does something particularly unusual, it might come off as just being a slightly different version of a weapon that already exists in the game, so it seems quite understandable to me that a lot of people would just put down whatever real weapons they like then try to think of something creative.
