Errors when loading Skyrim.esm

Post » Sun Jun 17, 2012 7:42 pm

It's normal, don't worry.

Morrowind and Fallout 3's ESM files were absolutely riddled with errors. They're harmless, just the engine complaining over nothing. Just click "Yes to All" and move on

the funny part is that i have 3 buttons: "Yes" "No" and "Cancel"
I suppose the last one is supposed to be the "Yes to all" ? (didn't get translated)

regarding the localization-errors:

look for the SkyrimEditor.ini in your skyrim folders. under the option [General] just add the following line: sLanguage=GERMAN (or your specific language version ... you can copy this line from your skyrim.ini or skyrim_default.ini). that should eliminate the localization-lookup errors. it worked for me. hope that helps

MASTERFILE: LOCALIZATION: Lookup failed for ID: 0x00012584 from strings file: STRINGS/Skyrim_ENGLISH.DLSTRINGS

I get this and I am using the English version.

That got rid of the missing strings error, but new one appears (thousand of them, I held Enter for a dozen seconds and the erreors were still ocming up):

FORMS: EXTRA SPACE: /a word that has or ends with a letter using non-English diacritic marks, like ? or ó/ has at least one space after it.

Has anyone put this in techsupport already? I doubt the beteshda crew will read this? Maybe someone can make a nice little post with some of the error copies in it and ask wth it's supposed to mean.

Also, I dlded the CK from steam and I didn't have to select a language, so I assume I got the english one.

Warning

MASTERFILE: LOCALIZATION: Lookup failed for ID: 0x00012584 from strings file: STRINGS/Skyrim_ENGLISH.DLSTRINGS

Errors I get upon loading:

1. MASTERFILE: NavmeshInfo 00028e37 has no parent space, ignoring
2. MASTERFILE: Errors were encountered during InitItem for reference:
Base: 'ShipTrapdoor01MinUseHidden' (00061435)
Ref: "(00099315)
Cell: 'Wilderness' (0000967A) (2, -6) in world 'Tamriel' (0000003C)

Got these three as well. I'm in Poland using English version, but it probably makes no difference as everybody seems to be getting the same errors.
3 reloads and 7 errors later everything works fine, though. Odd.

I just purchased Skyrim, did a clean install, patched (auto? new to steam), and installed Creation Kit.
Here is my warnings file.

They all seem to just be errors about the teleport marker being too close to the linked door.

@Feanna: That helped a lot, thanks. I still get a thousand error messages, but the Creation Kit now shows the German words for all items.

I can't load skyrim.esm because I've got this erro message:

Hi!

I've just downloaded Creation Kit, launched it and selected Skyrim.esm to load. After few seconds, an error came up:

Warning

MASTERFILE: LOCALIZATION: Lookup failed for ID: 0x00012584 from strings file: STRINGS/Skyrim_ENGLISH.DLSTRINGS

And other messages of same text but different numbers. I have checked and I don't have these files in my installation. I'm using Polish version of the game. I've already checked integrity of the files and Steam says they're ok. The .esm looks all English, so the translation must be in the Skyrim_POLISH.Strings.

Maybe someone form Bethesda will read this, as I don't want to switch to full-English yet.

Edit: typos

It this got so much "betatested" and there are all those errors , what version did they test that made them skip all those errors???

how DO I disable those messages? and what's that ?
